2008 Confirmed releases as of now - Down with the TROLL!!!

The topic this was in response to a thread that just got locked because it was a PS3 TROLL. I thought everyone may still like to see this. Many good games are slated for 2008 already with many more to come.

Some already confirmed highlights:

WarHammer /Star Wars /Fable2 /Age of Conan /Condemned 2 /Rogue Warrior /Dark Sector /Fracture /Conan /Galactic Command /Harker /TC End War /etc...

In fact for the person who posted this rediculous thread (obviously a PS3 fanboy) here are the 360 confirmations SO FAR but I promise there will be allot more by the time 2008 kicks off. There's allot more than 4 as you thought or wished or whatever. Already the 360 lineup through 2009 looks better than the PS3 - sorry SONY fanboys, it's just a fact and I will be getting a PS3 as well, for Lair if nothing else. But there's no competition when it comes to the number of good games coming out for the 360. These are all 2008 confirmed for the 360, Here ya go...

It's not on the IGN list - which is where this is from. I'm sure there are allot more games than what's on this list. There was a TROLL on the boards about an hour ago saying there were only 4 games slated for 360 release in 2008 and that the PS3 was going to dominate - I just had to make a point to him. :)

In the meantime while I was typing - the thread got locked down - so I thought I'd throw the list up anyway, since I typed it all out. :)

yea i was reading what the troll was saying and he made himself look really dumb. it usually helps to gather facts before you start trolling but i guess no one ever told him that lol

Fable 2, WarHammer, Dark Sector, Conan and a few others look pretty sweet to me. Not to mention Star Wars and Fracture (another Lucas Arts game). Plus there's always the chance for Gears 2 and some others that aren't listed here. This is an early list - 2008 is a ways off yet. Plus I just have this gut feeling that Alan Wake will be 2008 instead of 2007 like currently planned.

what? where's DMC4, i understand it is an early list but STILL this has been confirmed. oh well i'm looking forward to resident evil, i had no clue that was coming to 360. all the other titles look sweet. but late 07 is what im REALLY looking forward to. but that star wars game that is suppose to come out looks real sweet. Also PS3 will ALWAYS be 1 year behind the 360. they really need to step up their game OR at least have a pricedrop, i mean come on 600 is ALOT for a console. I agree all the way around - and someone else said they did see DMC4 slated for 2008. It wasn't on IGN's list - but allot of things aren't. There are going to be SO MANY more games than what's listed here. And finally - another SWEET looking Star Wars game - one without Leggo in the title. :)

Huh? - really - not a Fable fan? Fable was INCREDIBLE IMO - and part 2 sounds like it will be even better. I do agree about Postal though - could care less about that. That's why I did my own little "noteworthy" list at the beginning of the thread - not all of these appeal to me. And yes a few will be on the PS3 as well. But many won't.

Again - you don't like Fable huh? Do you just not like RPG's or just that one in particular? Curious.

Fable was about 4 seconds long and consisted of hearing chicken chaser, getting a new suit of armor and press the mouse/pad buttons alot. Ive played better. Postal, well in NZ postal 2 is one of the only games banned ever (NZ has the best censor on the planrt), they banned it becuase nothing in it was classed as gameplay :)teebeenz

LOL - yeah "chicken chaser" did get old until you buy a different title. The game was too short - and that's one of the things Peter has said they are improving with the next game. I loved it though - but yeah too short.

Postal - just pretty much sucks I think. So we definitely agree on that one. :)

Not just the '08 list, the '07 list of games that I want is so long that I'm sure I won't get to all of them this year, and will be playing them throughout 2008. There is at least one and sometimes two every month for the rest of the year that I want to play.zaphod_b

Wow i think Fable 2 is going to be a surprise hit maybe even better than the first one but yeah Postal 3 will probably suck although the dog idea for Fable 2 seems really stupid to me how will that improve the game it seems kind of useless.

seriously man strictly cash for me, my credit is being used on other things but this 07 year of gaming is gunna be insane no doubt.

Do you think youll actually buy any of these games since halo 3 will be out, cause i know after halo 2 was out i didntget anymore xbox games.

I know dude - and trust me like my sig says "I'm no hater" or TROLL or whatever you want to call it. I will have a PS3 very soon as well and there are allot of good exclusives coming out for it finally. Games like "Lair" and "Heavenly Sword" not to mention the sweet looking MMO "The Agency" are finally giving me hope for the PS3 again. That being said - I still see a larger quantity of good games slated for the 360 - at least as of now. This was in response to a PS3 TROLL who was saying there were only 4 games slotted in 2008 for the 360. Silly TROLLS usually get so passionate that they forget to check their facts. :)

I love my 360 and I'll love my PS3 soon too - and my PC will always be my playdough because I can form it into anything I choose. That's just the way it is. (you'll notice I'm not really a Nintendo fan - though they do fill the market for the kiddies and Grandparents) :)

^Because of your very first post, you go on about PS3 fanboys & how much better the 360 lineup is compared to the PS3 so this really belongs in System Wars. Um yeah - I was the person who reported the original poster to the Mods as a TROLL - they confirmed it and locked the thread. And talking about a lineup of games for any console doesn't belong in system wars - that's for debating system differences. LOL

It's alright though - I still stand by the fact that the current lineup for the 360 looks to be the best in 2008. That's not saying the PS3 won't have some great games too. System Wars would require me to take a side which I haven't done - I've just provided my objective opinion.

I don't think warhammer online is coming out for the 360 at all, just for PC. They showed it running on a 360 as a demo once or something but they never announced they were making it for the 360. IGN may list it as a game for 360 but no other sites do, and I really don't think IGNs random listing make for a good list to build on. They had Soul Calibur 4 listed like last year for all 3 next gen systems and its not even coming tot he Wii.vash-ht

Actually most sites don't list it yet but other than IGN...
