2008, doesnt look that great?

I feel, I mean i know the 360 has the best '07 line-up. Its not hard to tell. From Mass effect to Too Human to bioshock to PGR4. I think theres a game for most type of gamers out there for this holiday season. But I dont see alot going on in 08. There banjo 3, alan wake, and fable two. I know its pre e3 so who knows what gonna show up but right now it aint looking too great in 08.

Publishers are still trying to market and push their 07 Xmas titles, they don't want you to worry about 2008. They want you to purchase titles coming out soon. Publishers are smart like that.

Just wait there are a lot of rumored 2008 heavy hitters, I think you will be surprised.

Personally I am stoked about a lot of games, I expect Halo Wars to release in 2008. Other titles I am excited about, Burnout Paradise, Condemned 2, Civilization Revolutions, Castle Crashers on Arcade, Saints Row 2, Soul Calibur 4 and I most excited for Fallout 3 and Banjo-Kazooieright now.

That's just tiles we know about, with Microsoft Game Studios concentrating on 2007 releases, we are due for some surprises from MGS and Rare, maybe even Bungie.

Although it's coming out in'07,I'm looking forward to the Orange Box more than anything. 6 games for 60 bucks, even if you have played Half Life 2 and EP1 it's still a damn good bargain.

'08 does look good for the 360 though. After E3 it'll look alot better too.(As will the fall and holiday seasons; one assumes)

There's also Endwar, Assassin's Creed had rumours about an '08 release. It's too early to tell, but I can see it being a good year like '07.PhantomNemesis

AC has been confirmed by Ubisoft for November 07, and Endwar is still targeted for 07 too.

2007 is set to go down as one of the very best years in gaming history, and it's the first big super war year of this gen, so it was bound to be good, and especially with the openness of the top slot for this console generation, everybody is coming out guns blazing this year, but people get spoiled, you cannot possibly expect that to continue every year. There is bound to be some drop off atleast for a year or so for all the big devs that have a game coming this year to get going on a new one.

I don't know if your specifically referring to just 360 titles or gaming including MP in your assessment that 08 looks poor, but there are a lot of great games coming in 08 regardless.

Fallout 3, Rise of the Argonauts and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed are enough to keep me busy for most of next year alone, but there are a lot of games coming. Fable 2 as was mentioned, Halo Wars, Indiana Jones with the new real world physics engine, Fracture, possibly Lost Oddyssey if it gets pushed back. Rogue Warrior could be the best special ops shooter we have ever seen if Bethesda get's the depth that they are pushing for in that game. Devil May Cry 4 should hit in 08.

Assuming Mass Effect does get out this year, which there is some doubt looming, but if it does, there should be a nice sized content pack available next year, we will get the GTA 4 episode 1 in March, Plus there will no doubt be some big games announced at E3, Too Human wasn't announced until E3 last year, and there are some other games that may get pushed back out of the crowded Q4 07 ranks too, so I see 08 as another very good year.

Its way too early to say whether or not 08 will be good or not i would say wait til October-November before guessing by then we should have a good idea of what games will be released.

I hope its a quiet firstfew months next year because that will give me a chance to pick up the games i will miss out on later this year as im sure i wont be able to afford all the games i want this year.
