With the fast variety in games today! it's very hard to decide why games end up with total disappointment. only few titles this year really deserved a 9+ but for the rest of 2010 released games actually recieved a 7+ games today seem to go through this cycle. `1:build an engine make it future proof for at least 2-3 years then when the company/developer who made the engine becomes aged they lease it out to other struggling company's hoping to try there luck in the industry, while this effects the games we love like fall out new Vegas for example, it sets fear in the gamers who really enjoy games of today. very soon the "cry engine3" will be unveiled to the console platform 2011, as in 2008 "crytek" unveiled it's engine back then a lot of people had wondered what was the purpose of this as most pc's couldn't handle it. but once cry engine 3 goes main stream it will have leases where individual new developers will enter the gaming market can't say if it will be good thing or bad. Will this be the future of gaming unreal engine for example the most leased engine for any developer but as time passed you could see cracks with in the games. "BYRO ENGINE" THAT BETHESDA created for their titles mainly fall out 3 was impressive for it's time now it's left in speculation would you pay full price for a game that is showing it's cracks. capcom's dead rising 1 was impressive back in 2007 but could you really say dead rising 2 has made a come back, i do not blame blue castle games, but capcom did lease their engines and designer kits to them, textures and so on. From my point big company's that lease there engine gives them greater time to improve their engines while other developers are left with small time, Far cry 1 used similar elements to the "crytek engine" with in code. so when far cry 2 was released it looked far better for 2008, but it was poor design concepts that killed far cry 2, big map lack of interest, in my opinion it was good for it's time but disappointing especially when we all know who made it, great developer just shocking it turned out that way when you could have added coop, but coop was really less interesting for developers to engage back in 2008, but this is irrelevant "coop", must have been pressuring, either way but they didn't lease their dundia engine back then "WHO KNOW MAYBE SOME OTHER DEVELOPER COULD HAVE MADE IT BETTER" oh the risks. it's like allowing some one to borrow your car for day. While most games that will be launched in 2011 will have newer engines improved, while 2010 engines are still behind, this isn't a bad thing since it helps the gaming sector, but not if' it's a different game only mimicking other games that could involve bugs great story bad graphics ect, My question is would you pay 100$ or some price for a game that isn't what you remembered i mean fun, addictive, but also showing it's age. if you knew who made a game you loved would that bother you, halo for example what happens if capcom decided to make halo 5, would that bother you while using halo engine that would be worse then ever, im just making an example
