With the recent rumor of the 120GB harddrive, it made me wonder, is the 20GB Harddrive enough for you?

I would say yes because I can't download any full movie (I'm in Canada) and the demo never last long on my xbox.

Yeah it is, I have 12.7Gb left. With plenty of songs and several game saves. But saying that, I don't have Live.

I recently got my 360 and haven't hooked it up to Live yet. How much space does all the demos and other free junk you get with Live take up?

20 GB doesn't sound like much, but for me it seems to be working out.  I've purchased quite a few Live Arcade games and there seems to be oodles of space still available.  I find that I'm not terribly interested in downloading demos or movies.  I suppose if those were more important to me, then the 120GB drive would be in my future.

Have you seen how much this measly 20GB hard drive costs retail?  Even 5 years ago, 20GB hard drives didn't cost that much.  Microsoft purposely made the design proprietary so they can rip people off for more money.  They could have just as easily made the 360 accept standard laptop drives, the way their competitor does, but Microsoft doesn't stand to make extra money that way.  Pure greed.

It's enough for me considering that I don't download very many demos nor play a ton of games.

I haven't opened up one of the hard drive cases....yet. Does anyone know what's in there? Is it a laptop hard drive or something proprietary?

It's enough for me, i always have around 10 left still, media is done through my computer, and demos get deleted quickly, so all that's left is arcade games, and game saves, which would leave me with almost the full thing, i ussually have 10 because of lingering demos i have yet to delete.

although, with the size of the aditional content you can get on some of the games, like graws 700mb, i'm wondering how long this 10 gb of lee way space i have will last...

will i buy the 120? yes, but ONLY if i get a huge discount for trading in my old one (some kind of trade up program), and they let me clone my old one onto my new one.

It's not enough for me first off I keep my Demos because you may never know if one of your friends visit and you have to show them games that makes 360 a good choice also I often have more mature(bloody, gory) games and I don't like showing it to younger cousins and such but to keep me entertained I have to use the demos instead.  Then there's the xbox live arcade games I have 5 downloaded full games and a CD with mixed arcades in it still not enough space because there are lots of classic games that might show up.

Now I think I'll feel screwed for buying my 360 on Emergence Day because there might be a 120gb 360 cmoing out

I've got various movies and about 15 XBLA games on my harddrive and I still consistently have around 10 GB of free space left.

It's good enough for me. The thing that I don't understand is why do people keep demos for so long? You play the demo, and if you like it you buy the game and delete the demo, and if you don't like it you just delete it. Why would anyone want to keep a demo for more than a week?

Its enough , and its not enough...

as in , theres more then enough for you to actually save what is needed

but when it comes to demos that you havent played for weeks , more space would be nice

perfect size for me, as I don't play much demos, neither keep one after trying. But for some that use demos a lot and have the movies service, so I told, can be small, I guess.

Yes, I don't have a need to get a 120gb. That is useless. I whould just have a lot of space. I delete demos after I am done playing with them. I use my 30gb ipod (which I am going to trade in for a zune) to listen to music. Shows, they don't take up that much space. Microsoft whould be fools not to realse a bigger drive. Considering that they are trying to add movies, shows, and ext on Xbox live.
