That's pretty sad...I mean, yes, if they have illegal copies than I would want something done about it but if they got it from a retailer selling early then they shouldn't be penalized for the shops mistake. They were just lucky. And now we have to wait a whole 4 more days, whoopty-doo. Have you been whining this much for the past 6 months since they delayed the game in October? Grow up!

Pfft please, the shop made a mistake? Its just some super nerd selling it or letting another of his super nerd friends borrow it so he can put it on the Internet. If a couple copies got out by "mistake" I would understand that, but when these copies go on to be put online... that's what really bothers me. I just hate these kinds of jagoffs who are too cheap and impatient to get themselves a legit copy.
I didn't even care about the delay. A delayed game can only get better, so no I was not crying day or night.

Not even a manager from say a Gamestop is suppose to take games home early, I have a friend who manages a local GS and he won't dear touch the game in fear of losing his job.
i know that retailers break the street date all the time, im pretty sure the same thing happend here. I know the stores around here are pretty strict about the street dates well most of them

nothing will happen to them guys, i think all microsoft will do is send the signal down to the xbox to check if its been modified or not and if ur playing a legit copy then you wont notice anything but if ur not then id expect a ban unless ur that ahead of the game with the modding xbox scene.

obviousily whats happen is someones borrowed it and took it home and ripped it and took it back or ripped it at work. and they got a modded console and uploaded it to a torrent. i think they aint going to be that many early sales. these are just off copies ive seen the torrent on my mates pc , makes us want to mod my console so i can play it now but thats just daft to mod it only for 4 days early play . so im going to have to wait grrrr lol

No as they are not at fault - it is the retailer that is at fault

My friend has a copy of GTA IV but I really never went over to his house to go play it I rather just wait for my copy cause I know if I go over his house and play it I will feel the urge to fight him for it... Heheh... 4 Days!

i agree with you. its not very fun waiting but it makes the experiance a ton better.
I don't mind waiting for the game. Yet when other people have the game and you don't sucks. Haha, that's why I wish I could get the game without waiting but eh.
So, is R*/Microsoft actually punishing people for playing the game early? Or are they punishing people who are playing Pirated copies or on modded 360's?
just talked with a salesman in a media store today, they'd have to pay a fine on 1000000 euros if they sold the game even one day earlier, i can't imagine how big the fine would be if they grapped the game themself and started playing ..
I dont know how so many people managed to get the game so early, but they'll be in hell if microsoft starts diggin' lol
