2k Football is back baby!

Man APF 2k8 feels just like 2k5 (in game play). It is so damn fun and I LOVE creating my own team and using legends to do so.

The game doesn't have much depth but its the first installment so, I can cut it some slack.

So far I would give it an 8 out of 10

Im so glad 2K is back with football! 2k5 was def. the best football game ever. And since I never really liked Madden this is a godsend. I cant wait to get my copy!

One thing I do like is how its so expensive. The old 2K sports games where only $19.99.. RandomTask221

omg i loved the day 2k5 came out it swas miles ahead of madden and for only 20 buks but yeah i know 2k8 is going to have way better gameplay then madden but no real teams may keep me from getting it

Only reason 2k5 was so cheap is because the got a really good publishing deal. It was gonna be full price

Can i make my own team and turn off the salary cap? This has been missing from madden since '04.CC914

There is no salary cap and you can make your own team.

For those who truly love football and have been following it for a while, it's awesome to kick it back old school and control some of your child hood legends.

I don't know about this game. The new Madden I heard looks really good now that it's running at 60 fps. Plus, I don't know if I could really get into this game with only legends. I love the real matchups. This is just fantasy football.msjr78

2k8 is overpriced garbage, $60 for a game that cost $20 last generation. 1up gave APF2k8 a 6.5 and said that it looks exactly 2k5. You guys can play that BUDGET rehash from years ago while I get down on the Fantastic NCAA Football 08. And to the guy saying that APF is the "best looking" football hes ever seen; get your eyes checked, this game looks so BUDDY! LOL! You must have never seen Madden in HD, it was definitely a gorgeous game. 2k8 looks like an original XBOX game. You all who bought it got ripped off!

It does man, I played 2k8 at my friends house today and hated it. Recievers would just stop running their routes. The player models just look odd. Don't get me started on the facial detail and animations. The stadiums and uniforms are buddy, I would have bought it for 20 dollars, but 60 is just asking TOO much. I won't worry though, I'll just buy it out of the bargain bin in a couple of days!

Well for you to say that it looks Next Gen, you must NOT have played NCAA, the game runs at 60fps and is razor sharp in the graphics department. EA actually stepped it up a notch for a change. Don't get me wrong, I was hoping for a good game of football from APF 2k8 but thats not what I got. It just felt archaic in terms of gameplay. You have to charge up Special Moves!? This is aFootball game, not a wrestling game.

no i believe you can auto select your team then just get in and play. sounds, and looks great. I cant wait to pick it up tomorrow.

I think competition is a good thing since it will push EA to make a better product. How is it different though, its just like 2k5, it might be different from an EA game, but it is just like the other 2k football experiences. NCAA is a whole new ballgame on the 360, you should check it out, you just might be surprised!

I definitely will check it out...I've been playing the demo over and over until I got APF 2K8:)

I have played about8 hours of 2K8, and I give it mixed reviews. The graphics are decent, but there are some major graphical bugs. ( ie.players arms disappearing beneath the field) Also, character models are at times, atrocious! Steve Young is hardly recognizable! Game-play is solid, but there are some fundamental flaws. For instance, receivers stop running routes, the quarterback takes too long to get rid of the ball, the sprint button is awkward, defensive control is very loose and boring. Finally, as you all know, the game is fairly shallow. No trades during the season, and there is no season 2, which is inexcusable. Overall, this review probably sounds quite negative, but to be honest the game is still quite enjoyable. It's a lot of fun playing with some NFL legends! That being said, I think Madden will blow this game out of the water. I'm no Madden fanboy, but even Madden 07 is abettergame! I'll probably trade this game in a couple weeks, but it's fun for now!

if its just like 2k5 thats ok, because nfl 2k5 is better than madden 07

2Kfootball games don't feel like football to me. You get so much more controll out of actual game play with madden and NCAA.

I don't want a pretty game. I want a football game. And I'd know since I've played my entire life.
