Hello everyone, I'm just curious if your 360 can still be restarted (and play games again)when the 3 red lights flash? Or is it a dead one after the 3 red rings? I am having the 3 red lights indicating hardware failure a few times, but upon a few reboots can still play games. Or will the 3 red lights be coming more frequently until the final death of 360 is final?? (Right now I am so worry that I relocated my 360 to a place 3 feets directly below an aircon and having cold air blowing directly on it whwnever I play it.) I found out during the 3 lights flashes, no amount of rebooting will start the console unless the vga cable that connect to my 19 inch monitor is unplug and plug again, then the 360 can be started. Anyone having this experience?

I suggest that you don't continue turning it on and keep playing after you get the Ring of Death.. call Microsoft and get it serviced, in no time, it should be as good as new. Dont wait and leave more time to ruin your xbox 360, the mistake i made.. now I have no Xbox 360 :(

i got 3rod the other week, i shat myself. luckily after half an hour i tried again and it worked. i figured it must have been a mini power cut that caused it as it happened during a heavy storm. basically check all your connections and check try it in the original place as you said it only happened once you moved it near the air con.

I was playing Tiberium wars, then all of a sudden the graphics mess up with green artefacts all over the screen then freeze. Upon rebooting, the orrible 3 reds grreeted me. Actually my 360 was all along fine, then one day I read somebody post here that said that putting the power brick on a piece of empty container or something(so that heat may dissipate even from below the brick) has solved his 360 of frequent freezing and lockup, so I that was what I actually did, and the red lights begin from thereon several times. So far it is well after the relocation to the air con blowing 16 degrees celcius of colr air directly to the ventilation holes. I just hope it won't suddenly die on me, cuz everytime Iboot upthe 360, my eyes can't help but fix on the ring with abated breaths....

Just send it in right away. That way you will get it fixed and be back up and running quickly.
