Yeah dude. What the 3 red lights mean is that your xbox360 is experiencing hardware failure. What that means is that ur going to have to call up the number above and get it repaired. Im surprised u didnt hear about so many xboxes failing like this before. So far, it seems that the 360 has a 33% failure rate. That means that 1 in 3 xboxes have already experienced this.

If you don't have a warranty and are unable to send your xbox 360 in to get repaired, you can try some of the solutions some people have mentioned on the broken xbox360 help and discussion thread.
I personally tried the penny trick to fix my xbox 360, because i never bought a warranty, and it seems to be working fine for me at the moment.
Warning: if you open your xbox360 you will be voiding your warranty if you have one.

can you give me the trick? or the link for the trick? cuz i ain't finding him, thanks.
I followed these instructions, but i just want to warn you again if you open your xbox 360 you void any warranty's you might have.
The penny trick, or the twelve cents fix is basically the eraser mod but you're using pennies instead. Got this from another forum, this guys 360 is still working great after three weeks of doing this mod. First you'll need to take your out of warranty 360 apart, don't do this if you're still under warranty as MS will fix your console for free.
Taking your 360 apart, guide
http://www.anandtech.com/systems/showdoc.aspx?i=2610&p=2You'll have to strip it right down so you can take the motherboard out, you don't have to remove the x clamps or the heat sinks though.
get your self some electrical tape and some pennies I used 8 pennies = 2 pennies for each replacement thermal pad for the ram
So cut the electrical tape long enough to wrap around the pennies. I wrapped 2 bits of tape around each , then used one piece of double sided tape to hold the pennies in place on the ram chips. MAKE SURE THE PENNIES DON'T FALL OFF WHEN YOU'RE PUTTING IT BACK TOGETHER AGAIN. It's fiddly but take your time and don't put to much tape on the pennies, as little as possible to cover them is best.
When you have finished that re assemble your xbox360. Put the screws back but don't to them up to tight or your console will over heat, the fans will go into over drive. If it doesnt work and you still have 3 red lights don't worry (yet). This is when you need to apply heat, just leave it on for maybe 5 or 10 minutes powered on and keep trying it after that, it should start working soon enough.
I only put two of the screws back into the x shaped part of the casing pictured below, as I was getting three red lights with them all out or all in. The simplest way to adjust the screws is with your 360 upside down with the bottom off.Power it on and see if it works, if not adjust the screws until it works. I had to mess around with it for about 45 minutes before I got it to work with fans at normal speed and games not freezing up. When you're happy that everything is working put the case back on your 360.
When you have fully re asembled your xbox360 try starting it up. If it doesnt work and you still have 3 red lights try adjusting the screws again. It might sound like a chore, and it is but you should get it working eventually.
other people have done this eleven months ago and their console is still going strong, I done this today on my 360 that was dead for two months and so far today it's been working, the fans might be a little louder but it hasn't caused my games to crash and it boots up every time.If you have any questions look here as these people have more expierience with this mod.

He used a hot glue gun, but you can use double sided electrical tape or just normal electrical tape doubled over to stick to the ram chips. If you try this good luck it worked for me any many others, just take your time andhave a little patience. Please don't ask me any questions about this as I've had my fill of broken 360's, try asking in the Xbox scene forum link above.
