On Xbox's Website it says that for the Xbox 360 to be Backwards Compatible it needs a software Update. That's Great except when I Downloaded it and burnt it to a CD like it says to do my Xbox says it's an Un-readable Disc. It also says you can download the update right from Xbox Live.. But i can't seem to find it there either, and i can't have the disc mailed to me from Microsoft because they don't have that link up yet, even though it's been like 3 years since they've updated that site anyways. Anyone know how to go about this? please help!!

Burned it to a disk and put that into the 360? You DO know the 360 is a console and not a PC......right?:|

:| You are suppose to put it in the 360... Enoch913 you have to first put in an xbox game then it you put in the burnt cd or logon in Live and it will download the update automatically.

I know you can, but one can't expect it to just boot up like in windows. Why would to burn it to a disk when it will DL automatically from XBL?

All you do if you are connected to live is put the xbox disk you want to play inside the 360 and it should automatically update if you are infact connected to live, if your aren't I think you have to burn the specific software for a specific game onto a disk and then you place that inside the xbox 360.

Its one of the options just in case you don't have Live. :D

if you have xbox live just put the xbox title you want to play and a pop up will come from the side saying you need to update. if not then burn the cd. what you do is download the file from the site then put in a blank cd. open up the blank cd through my computer. there shouldn't be anything on it. then drag and drop the file for copy and paste either works. then on the left side or on the top somewheres it should say burn or burn files to cd. click that. when finished burning put the cd into your xbox 360 and the cd should automatically load up and you just select update.

Yes I am aware that the 360 is a Console and not a PC. But if you follow the directions off of microsoft's webiste that's exactly what it says to do.

Oh and I have tried putting an Xbox game into my 360 while I was connected to Xbox Live and it just tells me that this game is not supported by this console. I hope my Xbox isn't toast, cause i've already had it crap out on me once.. I'd be pissed if it did it again.
