Mine lasted all of 2 weeks. Just wondering if this is abnormal, or if they just give you really crappy batteries?

I think it depends on how much you use the headset and what games you play (some games use the rumble feature a lot more than other games). I've already changed batteries in my 1st controller 3 times.

Batteries generally last between thirty and forty hours in a 360 wireless controller. If you played that long in two weeks, then that's fine.

I generally have to replace mine once a week.

You'd really benefit from the play and charge kit.

I have rechargable batteries. No need to spend £20 on a play and charge kit. £5 for rechargable batteries and charger. And I don't mean the quick charge thing.

i would recommend the quick charge kit over the play and charge.  the play and charge dosn't have a break away cable like the controlers,  if somebody trips over it it might as well be a rope tied to the 360.  it'll yank your 360 and controler as hard as the kick to cord.
