I am getting a 360 next month and I can't decided whether to get the Elite or Premium. I know I don't want Wii and ps3 is too expensive so it leaves me with these to. Is 20gb of memory enough even if you download movies and stuff (how muhc memory does that take up)? Is the elite worth it becuase I don't even have an hd tv. Does is have a larger cooler fan...I heard about that somewhere. Its reviews haven't been good...what should I do?

You really felt the need to make a 2nd topic with a slight change of title. Get the elite if you live in the USA and you have a hdmi capable television. Otherwise, its not worth it at all.

I say get it, I mean, not too many people WILL have it, so you in turn will have a very unique xbox.

Except for the color, larger hdd & the hdmi outputs, there is nothing different about it than the Premium. I believe gamespot had an article in which someone bought one & cracked open the Elite & pretty much all other parts were the same as the Premium. No improved cooling, no quieter dvd player.  Since mine died two days ago even after great care was given to it, I'm really starting to question the engineering of the 360...

Be sure to get an in-store warranty, the longest you can afford.

I would go with the Elite. It actually is a little bit quieter than the premiums in my experience. And if you're going to be downloading movies and shows and demos like you said... then you probably need the bigger hard drive (20gb doesn't go that far)... and if you ever do get a hdtv, you're already set with the elite.

You should get the elite. ITs not really elite, but its the better choice if you don't already have a 360.
