I'm not sure where to post this because I don't know what the problem is. It's either a TV setting or 360. anyway, NCAA Football 07 is the only game I notice it in. There's a ESPN ticker on the bottom of the screen, on my 51" projection it cuts part of the ESPN logo off, I thought it might have just been the game but when I plugged the 360 up into my SDTV you could read the whole word. When the 360 in plugged into my HDTV its set to the HD output on the cable, 720P and 16:9 in the settings. Thats the correct way to set it for a 51" 720p/1080i tv isn't it? Anyone know what it might be, if its a TV setting sorry I'll repost in general hardware. Thanks.

You might find that the 1080i resolution is cropped more accurately for your TV.  The picture will be cropped slightly differently depending on the resolution.  On my 42" LCD 720p TV, I lose the upper and lower edges of the image (just slightly) in 1080i.  Yours might fit better at 1080i.  It totally depends on the TV.

Do you have a "zoom" feature on your tv? I know my tv has a "full, wide zoom, zoom, or normal" settings. For HD, it defaults to Full which is perfect, but if I were to choose "zoom" then it'd cut off part of the picture.

You need to use "Full" for HD images or else you're distorting the image.

check and make sure you have the picture set in widescreen. For example my TV has options for 4:3, Panorama, and Widescreen.  Make sure it is set to widescreen.

This is correct.
