I'll be playing a game and it'll either a) the screen will go black or b) the game will freeze.... there are no red lights to be seen and it all started like 3 hours ago while I was playing co-op Gears of War....it's worked fine for 8 months now. Any ideas?
perhaps its the disc, i would get a new copy of gears and then see if that works.. try your other games, if you get the same results then its your console.
Yeah it's the console....it already RROD'ed on me....first time....not the first time I've had to send one in though. I've had to send one in before because it wouldn't read ANY discs. I'm depressed....what about my reserved DMC 4 :(

Quickly just send it into Microsoft ASAP.
Here in Australia you will usually get your console back within the week, SEND IT NOW! You will be able to play DMC 4 in time if you send it now.
Or you could always try the towel trick before you send it off, but that is a risk as the console still usually hangs during games.
man, i feel u.... Mine RRoDed the day i got NBA 2K8. Had to wait 4 weeks to get it fixed. In the mean time and because i REALLY wanted to play, i got a rental (which cost me around 100 euros!!!!). Messed up timing. Cant do much really.... u'll just have to endure the whole thing.
PS: Dont go out and buy a new console, bro. U already gave your money (and your trust as a consumer) to MS when u bought your box. Buyin a new one is like awarding them for their indifference in the matter of the RRoD effect.
