ok my 360 keeps freezing up on me, it started about 4 days ago, and my console is only a month old, i cant do anything on it for more than 10 mins before it freezes up, sometimes it makes a beeping sound and the screen goes black other times a bunch of "snow" appears on the television screen and then the whole thing just freezes, ne insight on to what is going on with my console will be much appreciated

I had the exact same problem and after a couple of times of just freezing up and the screen going insane, my 360 finally got the three red lights and died.  Now I'm waiting for the xbox 360 elite.

Make sure your 360 is well ventilated and that all the connections are tight. Also try different games and if that doesn't work call 18004my xbox

I noticed it beeping every time I changed my outfits, I was playing GTA IV and I smashed up a taxi and tried top drive it and after about 5 minutes of it not moving my elite did the snow thing. I restarted it and it did the snow thing again on my 360 menu. I restarted it with out a game and about 5 minutes after I started it, it just went blank... I'm furious, because I got an elite to avoid this very thing. I have had my elite for about 8 months now, and its only recently started having problems, it would freeze once every blue moon while playing saints row 2, and my friends elite never did.

the random unexplainable freezing is a tell tale symptom of RRoD so you might as well call the hotline now.

you might be spared though. take the game out and just play something off your hard drive like an xbla game. if it still freezes then you're definitely screwed, but if it only freezes when theres a game in its probably just a dirty disc.

make sure its not the game and make sure its ventilated, try clearing your cache and if its not clogged with dust or something anywhere and still doesnt work then just send it to microsoft

Clearing your cache and trying non-disc based games is a good starting point, but frequent freezing is often a precursor to RRoD. No, you may not have the ring YET, but it may be coming.

Regardless, I would call the support hotline (800-4MY-XBOX) and open an incident with them.
