I want to connect my 360 by the ethernet cable that came with 360 to the internet via my laptops wireless network

so basically i want to use my laptop as a modem for my xbox this is what ive tried so far...

I turned my xbox off plugged in the ethernet cable that came with the xbox plug it into my laptop

then i right click on Wireless Network > Advanced, then there is only the firewall bit and no shared connection.

So, I tried to Bridge Connections, Local Area Connection and the Wireless Network Which then cuts off my Wireless Network it still connects to connection but will not let me load internet pages, so i tried my 360 but it will also not connect to the internet due to ip address problems.

I have a Realtek RLT8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC

does this support ICS?

i really need your helppppppp

Thanks Samml

:)

Hmmm... that's strange Samml, I did exactly the same thing you said on your first post and I can connect to Xbox Live (actually, I'm downloading a demo on my xbox at this very momment). To be honest, it took me 2 or 3 tries before my xbox got a working ip address, but after that, it's been working perfectly... what operating system is running on your laptop???

This guide is absolute bliss!

This is a good method, but I've found an easier way:

1) Run the Network Setup Wizard
2) Select the first option ("My computer is directly connected to the Internet") and click Next.
3) Select your Wireless Adapter and click Next
4) Select your LAN Network and click Next.
5) Wait for it to finish configuring the home network.
6) Select "finish the Wizard" and end the Wizard.
7) Restart the computer.
8) Connect to the Internet.
9) Try connecting to Xbox Live with your Xbox 360.
10) Success!!

Note: Make sure your connected with your Wireless Adapter and the Xbox 360 is connected to your LAN Network.

i got it from this link which i found on another post:

the actual tutorial didnt work its in one of the posts :)

THIS IS THE BEST WAY I HAVE FOUND IVE TRIED THEM ALL!
