360 malfunction not a rrod

When I play a game any game it starts out fine but after about 10 minutes or so I get small black boxes on the screen like a checker board pattern. I called Xbox support and they couldn't help me. If I send it in for repair it's 99$. Should I bite the bullet and send it in for repair or just buy a new one?

Maybe it's your TV? Or it could be your AV cable. Try a differnt TV and cable just to be sure.karriston

I thought about that last night and ran out on bought a new cable. Same with another TV set. It didn't work, thanks for the advise. I might just end up buying a new one hopefully with a falcon chip.
