Yes, i would very much so like to have something on my Xbox 360 that takes longer to type a word than texting on a cell phone (i'm not good at texting because i think it is completely stupid). Now if you are unable to walk the distance to your computer then you probably shouldn't be playing video games. Hell if you have the interent and don't have a computer than that almost defeats the purpose, but of course you do have a computer or you are typing off your cell phone, PS3, or Wii and if you have one of those then you don't need a browser on your 360.
Having a web browser on a console or phone is like when people call eachother on their cell phones during the day while they are both at their houses...
One thing i don't understand it why everyone wants one and one reason is so the could go check up either cheats, tips, strategy guide, or something game related... Wait if you need tips you would actually have to exit your game go onto the browser find the info, remember the info then start the game back up and hope you saved it where you were (if no save feature sucks for you) then use the tip you remembered. When if you have a computer in your house, not even close to you but in your house, you can pause the game so you don't have to worry about saving or being screwed find the tip, print out a sheet of tips if you wish, then go back to right where you left off and read the tip from a piece of paper.
Now the second one sounds a lot easier mainly because you can get acces to the tips about 2 times faster on the computer since on the 360 it would take about five minutes to type in the name of the site and in five minutes you could probably be printing out the info off your computer.
Now you may say that your family is on your computer all day and i say that sucks for you, but my guess is that they arn't on it 24/7 or they would dead. So while they actually arn't on it you can go onto the website and print off all the tips on the game in about 5-10 minutes. Then when they do get on you won't have to hassle them.
The 360 doesn't "NEED" a browser, it "COULD" however get one if Microsoft chose to do so, but i buy my gaming consoles to play video games and not to spend three hours of my day typing the name of the website.
That would be cool but it would also make me mad for buying a new $800 pc just to have a console overshadow it. Good idea on paper. Bad execution when it comes to what anybody has already paid for.Wellfedmonkey
Are you telling me you bought an $800 dollar PC just to browse the web? Thats an idiotic reason to not include a browser in the console. Nobody is going to get mad at microsoft because they feel that the 360 has made their computer useless. Thats probably the dumbest thing i've ever heard. Thats like getting mad at somebody for giving you more than what you paid for.

And to all the people saying why not just use your computer.. what if someone doesn't have a computer? You gonna tell them to drive to the library instead? I'm just saying. Obviously a comptuer browser is better, but why not include a browser for the 360 as well? i mean, it wouldn't hurt anybody. Its not like it makes you worse off to have the option to surf the web on your computer or on your 360.  Â

yea true. Saying go use ur computer or whatever makes you sound like you are defending MS. Simply, this would be a simple feature that could greatly benifit many users. I meanPS3 has i, even the Wii right? Why not 360....i could really care less cause my pc is right beside all my game consoles, but dont knock on the people that would love to see this addition added to the 360s capabilities.
