i just read on on a news site that microsoft plans on putting messenger live on the xbox and even coming out with a keyboard to hook up to the xbox so you can chat to your friends.

Why don't they just give the 360 a mouse too and then add ie7 so they can browse the web......wait why don't they just ditch the 360 all together and make games only for computer but with the usability of a console.  HALO 2 for pc is a step in that direction.  I heard you just have to stick the dvd in and run it and there is no pre-install but that the game installs itself while you play.  Soon there will be no console or pc but  the 'pc²'....portable console computer.

I WIN

This PC that plays games like Gears of War would cost about $2000 if it existed. The console is a way to specialize development of hardware and bring people a functional gaming pc that is cheap for its capabilities.

How is this bad at all? The fact that i can rent movies, buy tv shows, watch trailers, talk to friends, play games, listen to music, chat with my contacts, and much more all on one box the can easily be moved around my house.....sounds pretty darn good to me. As long as the game support stays the same, and these features just make the gaming down time more fun, i'm all for it.

Nice way of putting it:wink:! Well, anyway...You can already hook-up a keyboard to the 360, so thats also good for MSN and well...whatever...

There is nothing bad about this. All i am saying is....why not let pcs play 360 games? Seroiusly they might as well because then you wouldn't have to buy a computer and a console, you could just buy one single mega pc that did everything it does now as well as play console games. If i could use a wireless 360 remote now on my computer and put a xbox game into my laptop and enjoy it then i would be happy. That is a step towards gaming.
