I got a 360 for Christmas but the manufactured date was 6/06 which I'm really pissed about but didn't realize until the time to take it back was already up. It was sealed and brand new.

My question is does that mean I miss a whole year and a half off the warranty for RROD? Or is it from the purchase date? And it it's from the purchase date how do they know the purchase date? Do I need to send my receipt? Also, if I'm getting disc read errors, can I send that in for repairs free of charge or is that just for RROD?

Its from the purchase date. disc read errors are probably only covered for 90 days unless you bought a extended warranty. If you go to xbox.com it has the warranty info on there.
