I want to know what type of controller is better. I have 2 controllers; a wired one and a wireless one. After much gameplay my wireless died, so I went to my wired controller. I think the wired controller is better than the wireless. It has better control. The screen to controller movement is much more accurate in my eyes.

I never noticed a problem with lag on my wireless controlers but I never used wired ones. That said since my play and charge battery died I always have my wireless controller plugged in anways.

there is no difference in responce timesbetween the two controller types, youre probably just letting your preference get the better of you But I can see why you would like wired, comming from the generation that grew up with the snes I personally prefer wired. Sure with wireless you have no cables getting in the way or getting damaged by being coiled or eaten by pet rabbits which happen to find a controller I've forgot to put away....but you cant beat the fact that wired doesnt need constantly feeding with fresh batteries or require charging and theres no chance of wireless interference so are much more reliable. Obviously youre restricted in movement by the wire but come really where are you going to go with a controller other than infront of the console youre playing on? ...

lol the wireless and wired have the same response time. The controllers themselves are exactly the same as well besides the batt pack on the back. Only reason to use wired is if you want a lighter controller and or dont feel like worrying about batteries.

Love my wireless controllers. The real key is having a set of rechargables so when they go dead you have a back up and dont have to buy lots of batteries.

The play & charge kits you get for wireless controllers always die eventually. No matter how much you charge it, sometimes it just seems to die as soon as you take the charge wire out. So basically I end up with a wireless controller with a wire plugged in! Of course, if you just use normal batteries in the wireless controllers, I much prefer them. I use a Turtlebeach wired headset, so preferably I'd like to have as few extra wires as possible! Response time is the same with the wired and wireless, as others have pointed out.

You know you can get a couple rechargeable batteries & a battery charger for like $15 & never have to worry about that play & charge cable again.

I have the quick charge kit with 2 rechargable batteries. Works pretty well. While you are using up one battery, you got the other charging up. The batteries do eventually wear out but it's like 3-5 year life, so you will get your money's worth.

Why does it seem as if no one here ever buys the play and charge kit? The battery power lasts quite a long time as long as you know how to take care of your battery. Only charge when the battery dies. And when you're charging, you can keep playing. You just have to keep it plugged into the USB. When the green light is turns on, the batt is charged and depending on how much you play, the charge can last a few days.

Well I'd pick wired controllers a little bit more since it doesn't have to keep disconnecting compared to wireless controllers but there is a quick & charge kit.

I like the wireless because it's just one less cable to trip over, but wired controllers are nice because you can use them on the PC, too.

I don't prefer one over the other, really. I like wireless controllers because it's handy not having a wire, but that means you have to use batteries, which can be a slight annoyance. There is no different in response time though.

Yeah, well they are both typical and what I hate regarding wireless controllers is that it keeps disconnecting due to the darn batteries(im having that nowadays) but wired you don't need batteries at all.
