i just got an xbox 360. it drained all the money i had and now im left playing it offline. i kknow the microsoft wireless internet reciever is 100 bucks. are there any 3rd party ones that work and are cheaper than that?thanks

btw getting an ethernet cable is out of the question for me

whats the reaason for it being out of the question? i was going to get the wireless adapter but then i moved the family computer into my room, its a sacrifice but it saved money.

The answer is no I'm afraid.

The only thing I can suggest - even though you said no - is an eithernet cord. You can buy really long ones.

Keep in mind the farther from your router the xbox is.. well, it can only go so far. It can go pretty far, but I'm not sure it could go so far that wires couldn't reach, unless it's on a lower/higher level or something.

the reason i cant do ethernet is cause my computer is on the upper floor and my 360 is downstairs.

ok if i have to get the microsoft one, is there anywhere i could get one cheaply that will probably work
