Not really needed since you can buy a 16 big flash drive for cheap. I think they will get cheaper also.

It's supposed to replace the Arcade version of the 360. Going from 256MB to 4GB of Flash memory is a nice upgrade for the same price. This new console is not geared towards people on here that consider themselves "hardcore" gamers. It's an entry level console.

people hsouldve taken advantage of the gamestop slim trade-in offer last month. they bumped up the value of 360 accessories as long as you traded it in for the slim. i only had to pay $60

It's not meant for the "hardcore" gamers. It's meant for the casual gamers who will really only use the space for game saves. Besides it's a whole lot better then the 256mb memory card.

I would buy the 4GB console. I don't download awhole lot of stuff except a demo and a few DLC's that don't use alot of space on the hard drive.

Plus, it's the new 360 which means that there is no way to get RROD and it's a shiny new console.

Oh so tired of hearing people say stuff like this. I've had my 360 for a few years. It's a 60gb model. I have used about 26GBs of space and I could totally get rid of a lot of that if I went and cleaned up my HD and got rid of L4D 1 and 2, Oblivion and other stuff I don't play anymore. I could save $100 and just use some flash memory and probably never worry about space.

And really it is geared towards new kinect customers. My mother has a Wii, she probbaly has used 0 HD space. This is who these 4GB consoles are for. People like my mom who will never download anything in her life.

This. If you're crying because you want more hard drive space for a CASUAL console, suck it up, stop being a cheapass, and just buy the regular slim console.

My feeling is they will bump up the space every year on this model. Right now it's 4 GB, next year it will be 8, then 16, then 32 until eventually it gets to 128 or 256 and just phase out the 250gb spinning disk one.

Wow you know nothing. Its an arcade console, not meant for dling things or anything like that. Its meant for saves, considering its an entry level console. Plus, its a nice addition to have 4gb instead of the old and sucky 256mb.

4gb is more than enough, especially for a person who just wants to play games. The 16gb flash drive option by itself gives you more usable memory than the old Pro version (20 gigger with only 13 gigs available for use). With no need to install games (there never was a need imo, waste 10 minutes to save 2 seconds on a load screen) since the system is quiet, you don't need that much space to play retail games and still download plenty of DLC and XBLA titles.

No it doesn't. It's the Arcade model. It doesn't need a huge hard drive.

For 100 dollars less, 250 is 62x more memory than 4 GB. Now telling me I know nothing is irrevelent to what I meant in the first place. Plus, if you buy from Amazon.com, you don't pay tax depending on where you live and/or what seller you buy from.
