Okay so I posted on here last night telling everyone that I got the red ring. The only thing is I see people saying that they have thedefective systemswhen they get 3 red rings...i get 4. Now, when I first got my 360, I had it set onto HDTV and I wasnt playing on an HDTV. So, I got 4 red rings immediatly. Then, I switched it to TV and everything worked out fine. This was back in October of 06. I havent had any problems since. Until last night, I was playing MLB 2K7 and I got the ring. But again, it was all 4, not just 3. So, I eventually disconnected everything and then plugged everything back in. I then played 4 games of a demo of "The Bigs". Then, this morning I played 7 innings of MLB 2K7 until there was a network problem (nothing to do with the rings). So, im just curious, since nothing has happened since replugging everything...was something maybe just loose? Or does all 4 rings mean that i do have a defective system? Thanks guys

Read the manual. It explains what the red lights mean.

Yeah thats has happened to me, thats when your A/V cable isn't plugged in correctly. Or like you said you plug is on HDTV when your trying it on a regular T.V.

an even number of rings flashing and your fine, and odd number of rings and your screwed. 4 rings if I remember is either overheating so all you have to do it let it cool down and your fine, or one of your cables is not plugged in correctly. So your 360 has alot more life left in it.

Yeah, im pretty sure it was overheated cause i felt the back of that thing and it was really hot. Does blowing a fan by it or anything work? cause i need to keep it where i have it in my room because the internet connection runs under my house so theres a little like hole thing right in the area where my 360 is so i cant really move my tv and 360 around
