Hadnt heared that before, and I cant believe I'm reading it now. It's the most rediculous thing I've heared, but I'm sure they wont get it, I remember accepting and agreement of 15 pages before I was allowed on xbox live. I'm sure somewhere in those pages it says something about Microsoft being always right.

5 million dollars is a lot of cash... but then again, XBOX LIVE! is the only online service for these gen consoles that you have to pay for.... still an outrageous amount, though. They'll probably lose.
You dont take in consideration in how much Microsoft makes every year just of XBL subscriptions. dejo256
still doesnt give people the right to sue Microsoft for a ridiculous amount, Xbox Live goes down for just a week doesnt constitute a legal suit of $5 million, plus Xbox Live is an awesome service and this little outage def. doesnt over shadow the fact of how cheap and good the service is
actually if u consider the circumstances microsoft actually cost their coinsumer base a grand total 5,600,000$ based on the fact that XBL has 8 million users (unconfirmed). SO this would be understandable if this was small claims and the money was being redistributed evenly to the consumer. But I doubt that will be the fact.
yeah but its not like any the subscribers will benifit they just linging they own pockets nothing else. if they were suing so everyone got a few free months out the deal they have my backing but in reality none of us will get anything out of it , the lawyers will clock the lot

Well let it be 8 million users which i dont think there is that much but mulitiply it by 50 thats $400 million just from XBL every year. Also its obvious that they wont loose in this lawsuit.

While five million isin't back breaking by any means to a company like Microsoft I can guarrentte its not a pinprick. MS will fight this and probably win. They need to set a standard with this case or everytime anything happens they will have a new law suit.
where does the $5 mil go if MS loses the lawsuit? Is it actually broken up into smaller checks then mailed out to all 8mil subscribers? I doubt it. I'm sure its a few morons that think they deserve $ for emotional scaring or something.
Now, you guys realize how screwed up americas legal system is, you can be the next bill gates just by sueing people. Hopefully, the next few generations don't over react about this stuff.
5 million dollars thats the biggest load of crap I ever heard of, its almost as bad as the time when a man sued for 55 million after a dry cleaning business lost his pair of pants......guess what he lost and so will these people and hopefully they get counter sued to make an example for other would be dumbies
i dont see how 1 week of xbox livet causes $5million in damage. Neways if microsoft losse they might learn a lesson. I bet we will see other people trying to make a quick dollar like this aswell. isnt the game only a xbox live arcade game??

read their argument and though the amount is stupid the point is quite clear and agreeable to be honest. At least to me. Microsoft did nothing to prepare the largest and most used online gaming service for the immense wave off ppl that would be getting on on and after christmas (which ppl did). And it cause ppl world wide to experiance problems they were paying for and were told in contract they wouldn't experiance. But like i said, 5 million is just greedy excuses for airbags that sadly make up the majority of the world and pretty much disgrace what the human title implies
