Does it really make that much of adifferencein gaming smoothness when you install a game on the 120 vs. the 60? (Like Fable 2 or Oblivion)

There is no difference between the HDs besides how much space they offer if that is your question. Also most games are around 6 GB and unless you plan on installing well over 6 games and putting a lot of content on your xbox 360 i see no need for a 120 GB HD. Just delete them after you are finished with the game you will have more than enough space.

installing large world rpgs like fallout, oblivion, and fable is probably a good idea, but not nessecary spending the extra 100 bucks for the elite just so you can have 60gb more is not worth it

I love my 120 GB HDD. I'm down to about 7.6 GB since I install every game I have until I'm done with it. Lol Lost Odyssey is eating up 20+ GB =P

its like 20 or 30 bucks more for the 120 (which is obviously double the 60 lol) so if your gonna pay that much for a 60 you might as well get a little more cash and alot more HDD space

I'm pretty sure that there isn't any difference...but I have a 120GB and a friend of mine has a 60GB.He told me that after installing Oblivion it ran worse.

60 is just right but if you have the budget to go all out, then go for the 120GB.

as far as games are concerned it's essential really. here are some games i've compared

Last Remnant feels like a slide show running off DVD & when installed load times are cut in half

Lost Odyssey runs 2x faster when playing off HDD

DMC4 & SvR09, almost instant loading

but i've noticed games like MKvsDC whether you install or not, it barely makes any difference on loading times

it's not 20 or 30 bucks it's a $100 extra for a elite model. I have the 60GB and it's great. I only installed like 3 games and when i finish them i delete it from the drive. Plus you don't really need that 120GB model
