8 Pennie trick WORKS

Well....ive had the 3 lights of death for about a week till i say the 8 pennie fix online somewhere.(dont remember where) so i tried it and i dont have the lights anymore :D ALL you have to do is open you xbox and put 2 sets of 4 pennies wrapped ine lectrical tape around the center piece of the motherboard. Then put it all together and walaa, it works =).

That's an awesome way to void your warranty. Or you could send it back to MS and get it fixed for free while keeping your warranty in tact.rgsniper1

I was looking for the sarcasm, but I'm not sure it was there. In case it's not, you spend 8 cents to void your warranty against any other problems you might get (ie drive problems, updates gone wrong).....or you send it back to MS still under warranty and are still under warranty for future problems.

So after reading this post again, I really have to hope it's a joke thread. What's the "center piece of the motherboard"? You mean the processor? Beyond that, were's the obligatory "owned" post?

you have heard that M$ extended EVERYONES warranty to 3 years right? so if you bought a launch console, your covered until November 08. you just shot yourself in the foot. way to go
