Why couldn't microsoft have used gamerscore points instead of buying stupid "microsoft points"? It would have made a lot more sense, but wheres the generosity? you could buy the games play them until you unlock achievements, then buy more stuff with them.. microsoft is getting too greedy IMO. Lame jus think. You work so hard for those achievements and then if you buy something using them they're gone. Some achievements take you weeks or even maybe months to achieve.

I dont agree with you that gamerscore should be currency for XBL but I do think that actually having to pay for some things is dumb. Serously will they lose any kind of profit by making all themes and gamer pics free.

Yeah, themes and such should be free, if the ppl making them have a problem with it, allow ppl to at least customize and make their own. You could just refrain from buying these things one might say, but since it's there it will be used anyway.
I remember microsoft laughing at the competition b4 the 360 was released. They were laughing at the price of the ps3 "Who is the target audience? The luxurious car-owners?". Now we all know that the 360 is the most expensive piece of entertainment there is. Sure u can get a core unit for a good price, then what? Gotta give it to em' for sugar-coating it so well though, I didnt realize this till just now.
maybe be awarded 100 microsft points per 2000 gamerscore points this would make people buy alot more games for the system. I like the trophie system the PS3 has, It is really cool.

When weren't they greedy? You have to buy all the extras (HD Player, Internet, Wireless Internet...) when the Wii and PS3 offer them free (Wii doesn't play dvd's i know). They've always been greedy.

Some game developers should make content so you can buy it for free using your gamerscore? Wasnt there over 1 million (or billion) gamerscores unlocked since 2005? That would mean an insane amount of loses for Microsoft since they would have to pay for everything you buy from third party developers. It's their network but your buying something from a third party developer. Only if you want Microsoft to shut down their entire gaming department, then this is a good idea.
Achievements and scores are something extra to make games more fun, now you want to profit from it?

Theyre trying to make a profit by selling you games, and you're trying to get ur money back (basically) by asking to get paid by playing the game that you paid for, they're not getting much of it then!
so pretty much, YOU'RE the greedy one. Before games had gamerscores, when did anyone complain? People still did sidequests, still beat the game 100% and they didn't ask the company to REWARD them for beating it 100%. Now that they had gamerscores to show your acomplishments in games, u expect to get rewarded for soemthing....nice...what next?

Exactly. For some very strange and unfound reason, people seem to forget that the gaming industry is a business, not a charity. Every company exists for the sole purpose of providing their service to the customer, to make a profit.
