Is it just me, or is Blue Dragon a lot of fun?

I've played a LOT of JRPG's, a whole lot of them, especially on PS2. I find this game to have some original mechanics, and as far as the story is concerned, I have played a lot worse before. The gameplay is solid, there are tons and tons of locations to explore and secrets to find. As far as JRPG's on the Xbox 360, Blue Dragon is one of my favorites. Tales of Vesperia is incredible, but Blue Dragon is second on my list just under that. My only complaint is that it's on three separate discs... Kind of a hassle if you want to go back to certain areas.

Otherwise, definitely underrated. What do you guys think?

Well blue dragon was alright. I got a bit boring at times for me but yeah id say its was pretty good. Its been awhile since ive played it like years but i thought you could go back to certain areas even if you are on disc 3.

You can go back to certain areas, but for some of them you have to put in another disc :/

I played the demo years ago and was thoroughly unimpressed... I remember seeing my adventuring team together and getting the feeling someone should call child protective services.

I do enjoy most JPRG's however and with the game hovering around $10 or less used I am interested..

Is there anything you can tell me to entice me to pick up this game that you haven't already expressed?

I thought it was pretty good, but it also bored me to tears. Maybe 6 years ago this game would have been awesome to me, but I have changed along with the games. I use to love JRPG's, it's all I used to play, how I have changed. sigh.

I still have Blue Dragon and it's been about a year since I played it, maybe I'll try it again.

Though I will say Last Remnant was the best JRPG I've played in YEARS.

Hey did you get to use the blue explosion for the dragon guy? Or is that attack spell special move whatever it is not even in the game? I stopped playing it after I got to the second disc and saved the castle from a watery grave. The castle door to the outside world is locked right now and everyone in town is giving me items and thanking me for saving them. Oh yeah and I just got Zola so thats whats up and her shadow attacks much smoother now. Not like when you first attacked with her shadow lol that was really ruff to look at. I agree with Gen007 that theres no playing that game for more then an hour or you will start yawning at the game. Maybe I just be playing that game really late at night. I was hopeing it was like the cartoon network TV show but far from it. If you watched the tv show don't buy the game cuz the games story will seem really really terrible. The characters act different in the game and are switched around for the better in the TV show. Not at all what I thought it would be like really a let down for me.

I love the game but I quit playing. I'm on one of those timed levels where I have to get to the boss in time. I get to him in time but I'm too low a level to beat him. I don't have enough time to level up and get to him plus I can't leave the dungeon/ship. It got frustrating.
