1. How big are these technical issues that Gamespot's review talks about?
2. How similar is it to KOTOR?
3. Is it worth buying?

I hope you dont mind me adding my own questions too?
How different is it form the PC version?
Is it like a typical RPG where you run from point A to B and fight a bit and thats it?

Not a bit:)
1. technical issues are minor, I was never bothered by them.
2. It's KOTOR without the Star Wars theme pretty much (with much better combat)
3. Most definetely, it's a must own game.
- Never played the PC version
- You have alot of choice during the game, it's a nice open world (though occassionally you are locked into doing a specific task right then and there)

Nothing really big. When the game loads up a new area or when landing on a planet... the graphics pop for a few seconds that is quite noticeable. It barely happens but it does.
2. How similar is it to KOTOR?
Not really except in theme. You'll still level up and distribute your skill points. Conversations are very similar except Mass Effect's is leages and beyond compared to KOTOR.
3. Is it worth buying?
Definitely. Had one of the best stories I experienced last year next to Bioshock and Assassins Creed. Has a great mix of being a shooter but still being a deep RPG... though a lil shallow compared to their past games. I'd say a must buy.
"How different is it form the PC version?"
I'll try to answer this but not 100% sure. In terms of content. They're the same. Graphics wise.... the PC will have the upper hand because of screen resolution and the technology of PC's being better than consoles. Oddly and sadly, it still shares the texture popping.
"Is it like a typical RPG where you run from point A to B and fight a bit and thats it?"
When the action heats up during the story line... yes. It is for the most part (when playing the main storyline) it follows a fairly linear path with lil exploration. Though in reality when playing... it's very nonlinear because their are so many planets to vist and explore and side-quests to complete that you'll be detering from the main story a lot.
the technical issues are textures taking a couple seconds to load and the frame rate slowing down some in large scale fights.
the pc version comes with the dlc for free and has a new menu system other than that no difference
with all that said it is probably the 2nd best game ive ever played, only behind mgs4. and you play through almost the entire game yourself with few cutscenes and most are short. the game is probably around 25 hours long on your frst playthrough. ive beat it 5 times already and im on my 6th now! its different from kotor because its all in realtime and the action is pretty fun to take a part in. all the weapons are guns so no swords/lightsabers. all in all BUY THE DAMN GAME!!! haha
Yeah I am going to consider this game as well.
ok I have a lil kiddish question. Is the theme of the game spooy or scary, horror or whatever? or is it somehting like Gears of War where you arent really sitting at the edge of your chair and getting shocked or startled by a sudden attack by this creepy intimidating creature?
All of you who have responded to these questions so far need to get a life...I mean honestly why waste your time even responding to such dumb questions...I bought the game simply knowing it was going to be damn brilliant anyway! If he doesn't know how good this game is by now then he never will...let him buy it and let him see for himself.

So for trying to answer a few questions about a video game, these people have no life?:|
And just because I ask three questions about the game means I don't know how good it is? That's just wayyyyy off:roll:.
This is a forum. People can ask questions on it. Get use to it. If you can't, just leave.
