First of all, how can I transfer the songs to my hard-drive, besides the transition from the CD that is. Secondly, what does these 2 pointers button is for? (the one between next song and loudness regulator buttons)

Thanks for help.

As far as I know the only way to get music onto the HDD is to rip audio CD's. You can also stream it from your PC or you can plug your mp3 player into one of the USB ports. Neither one of the last two options transfers the music to the HDD though. It's the shuffle button.

The straight lines mean that the Xbox plays the music in the order as it appears on your media source. Shuffle (the crossed lines) basically mixes up your music so that it plays it in a random order (although from my experience, shuffle plays the music in the same mixed order every single time).
