I came to the site to find some information on Halo 3 because whenever i play multiplayer the max is always 8 players and it's always the same 4 maps. Anyways, I saw a review for Phoenix Wright, I have never played the first, but saw that it this new one received the "Recycling" Emblem for being similar to the last game. That made me think.
My friend and I just bought Halo 3, played through the singleplayer (on the default not Legendary or whatever most people brag about) and are now playing the multiplayer. To me anyways, this game doesn't seem to be leaps beyond Halo 2 and so far I'm a little dissapointed after reading all these great reviews. XBOX live is pretty cool in concept, but really Half-Life and counter-strike have had such matching and stat tracking for years.
Halo 2 was great i thought because it was on a console, the gameplay was nothing that hadn't already been exceeded on PC, but I stopped buying PC upgrades because they're way too expensive. To me Halo 3 is almost the same as Halo2, it looks nicer, but the gameplay is identical. I don't see how it couldn't have gotten the "Recycled" emblem as well. Halo 2 came out around Half-life 2 and i felt really sucked into the environment of that game and was hoping that would set the bar for Halo 3. Then came Gears of War which was amazing and felt new, and then Bioshock which was amazing and really sucked you in too.
Is it that I'm missing something amazing about Halo 3? are there more than 4 maps that just cycle when playing Slayer? I never played Halo 1. Perhaps it's that I grew up playing Goldeneye and still love playing that game and if they released it now i would probably play it. Could it be that the people loving Halo 3 are just on that nostalgic feeling?
