A good shooter besides Gears of war

I am looking for a fun game besides gears of war and oblivion! Those are great but what other good shooters are out there?

I want to know what's good, but I only want to know about the single player no multiplayer

Perfect dark zero is the best shooter on 360 if you have live

I enjoyed FEAR.  It is not tactical and more about the action.  It also has some scary moments in it.  It has made PC game of the year back when it first came out in many magazines and internet sites.

F.E.AR - Good game, great A.I and decent story line has some scary parts.

Dead Rising - Gets pretty old quick. Not an ideal buy if you want somethingt hat you could play for hours

Condemned - The first and one of the best games I've played on the 360. Great story, different to most shooters (not many guns) but this is replaced with a great weapon system of use what you can find. This game also scard the hell out of me on a number of occasions. Great game

Prey - Okay game. The game offers something different with the crazy gravity upside down kind of thing. But only being an average game sorts of ruins it.

Vegas - Great offline mode. Offers a lot of tatical gameplay (if this is your thing). Good controls and the game tactical side keeps you attention,

Viva Pinata - Good game to be honest. Not a game you can play for a long time in one go as it does begin to get tedious. But a good game that will keep you going back for more.

Overall I would go with Condemned. The game just keeps your attention and the storyline is great.

i didn't look at the games listed before i posted so forget what i said about condemned...if i had to pick between just fear and condemned i would pick fear because its like condemned on steroids...condemned is not as scary as fear is and is not really a shooter...you use other weapons more than you use guns in condemned and you are also more of a detective in condemned. they are both very good games so after you beat one of them you should rent or buy  the other one.

oh, I recommend Vegas or PDZ

i think you should consider any of the call of duty games. i think call of duty 2 is the best but call of duty 3 is good too
