A Great Game to Play While Waiting for GTA IV to come out.

So I went to Blockbuster and they had Crackdown for sale, used, for only $20, so I figured I would pick it up when I went to rent Lost Oddessy, and I have not put it down.
I figured it would be a good game to play since it reminded me of GTA games, but it is really unique and IMO the most overlooked game of 2007
So anyways, yeah, I think if you can't think of a game like GTA to play until it comes out, Crackdown will definately tide you over, and its only 20 bucks, but yeah its surprisingly awesome the way you can like jump around like Superman it's great.

Crackdown is great fun, though some of the driving is a bit dodgy until you get good at it. Got to try Saint's row before GTA comes out, or I will probably never get round to trying it :)

Same here for Oblivion. I just picked it up, although the graphics are obviously dated, the game is suprisingly fun with so much to do. I have never enjoyed quests so much in a game. Interacting with the townspeople and investigating stories are addictive. Oblivion gates are boring and they are all the same but NPC's are fun to interact with. I find myself snooping around just to find a good story or quests. NPC's have a lot of personality, but lack facial expressions.

I'm also playing Rainbow Six Vegas, original. I completed R6V2 already, catching up with the old one. I'm going to start working on the Orange Box, and I plan to pick up Dark Sector today. I also ordered Graw 2 and it should be in the mail sometime this week. I'm doing some catching up. It should take me about a month or 2 to get through with all these games. By then GTA 4 will be out, and MGS4 will almost be out by then. I still have other titles that I would like to purchase and re-buy as well.

man crackdown is a sick game..so fun to play with a buddy co op too

No way. Crackdown was actually original with its fusion of sandbox gameplay and platforming mixed with RPG elements. Saint's Row was just a GTA rip off that failed to even be half as impressive as GTA. Plus, they tried to make the game "gangster' for the sake of being controversial, but it ended up just being cheesy as all hell.

I beat GTA: Vice City Stories, GTA: Liberty City Stories, GTA: San Andreas, GTA III, and GTA I...

I made it out to myself to beat GTA: Vice City, before GTA IV comes out (just completed the mission where I have to blow up the cubans boats with the little airplane for the haitians)

I suggest playing the previous GTAs, you have a month so if you start now you can beat GTA: San Andreas in no time, and it's real fun...
