halo isnt an easy game, and most of the people that play are getting better. Ive played alot and here are 3 big tips to keep you ranking up:
1: keep playing! you will learn the maps, where the weapons spawn, how long it takes for the power weapons to repawn and generaly get better with the guns, melee, and most importanly frag grenades.
2: One of the reasons that you might be loseing is that you need to find a team (if your playing a team based game type ie. not lone wolves) play with a group. and get some team work down. in the higher levels of halo ITS ALL ABOUT THE TEAM WORK. plan who goes for what weapons and when given the chance, take any 2 v 1 situation you can. call out the other team and be able to say what your doing.
3: Dont play too agressive. Patience can easly win you a match. The only real reason to play agressive, is to get power weapons, and if the time is running out and your not in the lead. If you do have a solid lead dont throw it away by running into the other team one at a time. in short, always have a plan of how and what your team is going to do.
hope that helped. follow these tips and your game should step up 10 levels or so. good luck
Ok, so before I get to my questions let me explain this first. I'm a decent Halo player and I'm trying to level up and become better. Now I have posted in the Bunige forums and asked for help and all I get are insults and so forth. Same thing goes in the game. I get alot of, you suck, or your K/D ratio is horrible sell you xbox your garbage. So the question is, has anyone else encountered this and has it made the game less fun for you? It has for me currently I'm trying out Far Cry 2. Any other suggestions you guys might have on what to do or play?reverend1985I read most of the replies to your first post on Bungie.net and it seemed that half the people wanted to help and the other half were jerks...especially "TH3DUDE." He talked all that crap in that thread and his stats are nothing to brag about. He had like a 1.00 K/D in ranked and a 1.10 in social. The point is just ignore people like that. Anyways the best advice I can give you is to keep playing and you'll get better. If you've played a lot of games on this account you might consider starting a new one so the TrueSkill rating will reset.
