Can somebody explaine to me what it is??

I read articles on it lately and saw a picture but the picture was of an xbox 360 and the was just some other black box underneath it.

So i'm a bit confused about what it is used for and what it is at all. Can somebody please explain it to me?

They have to. They have to show us what it is truly capable of. It's coming out in October and NEWS FLASH: It WON'T be called Natal...We've got to learn what the real name is.

Project Natal is a 3D/Infrared/Motion Camera all-in-one and allows Xbox 360 owners (and eventually PC owners) to play games without a controller.

From what I understand, it is supposed to work in conjunction with, not eliminate, the controller.

Basically its this camera/sensor/microphone that chills by your tv and apparently you can play games with your body alone. No controllers whatsoever. It's like the wii sensor bar but I would assume more advanced. I don't think Natal will truly live up to the hype. It also has a hefty asking price. (to me at least) I believe last time I heard it was going to be ($100-$200).

Calling it a camera is really a misnomer. It has a camera on it but it is primarily a 3-d motion capture device.
