With buying Borderlands 2 weeks ago, and finishing the main quest last night, I was thinking of gong out and purchasing 3,200 MSP to buy the three (and fourth coming) DLC for this game. The real question is, were the add ons enjoyable? Do they really add that much to the game? I mean, I love Borderlands, but if the DLCs don't really bring something to the table, I'll take a pass.

I love the DLC's. The Secret Armory is amazing. It's probably the best of the three. It adds some really good story points, and is just enjoyable as a whole. Armory is followed closely by Zombie Island. I enjoyed this one the most, but I do think that Armory is technically the "better" dlc. Zombie Island is just fun. It has some classic references in it, and is really fun to play through. Underdome is my least favorite of the three, and that's just because it doesn't really offer any story. It's just a gauntlet or arena that you can run over and over. If you play solely by yourself, Underdome kind of sucks. And the NEW DLC is going to be amazing. I can't wait for it to drop. I'm just sorry that you just played it and finished the story line since they're getting ready to drop the GoTY edition. It's going to include all the original game and all 4 dlc for $30. At least that's what I heard.

apart from mad moxxi, theyre really awesome. the level cap helps and the enemies and quests add more variety. mad moxxi's only advantage is the stoarage.

its worth it. trust me

all ill say about the dlcs is that the underdome sucks, especially if you really want the achievements for it. such a long, boring grind, lol.

I only got Zombie Island of Dr. Zed and I didn't really like it. It only took like an hour to complete all the quests. It didn't really offer much the rest of the game didn't. I'd imagine you'd probably enjoy it more if you weren't level fifty and had the highest level weapons already, like I did.

Well that's about that then.

Zombie island is pretty fun and simple. Not the best thing ever but there were actually quite a few funny moments.

Max Moxxi - yeah, only get that if you like achievements. Not worth it otherwise.

Secret Armory is easiest the best so far (most likely toppled by the upcoming DLC). The main downfall to this is that, due to lack of real vehicle use in the rest of the game they made vehicle use REQUIRED to travel. No fast traveling, if you want to go somewhere you have to drive there. It's quite a drive too.

As for the upcoming DLC. It looks great, funny, and you should pick it up. That and it, technically speaking, continues from the end of the main game to some extent. (But I won't spoil that one for you. You can find those details out on your own).

i loved all the add ons. mad moxxi was decent. it was pretty fun because you could just talk crap with a buddy while you finish the 3 hour plus long challenges.

I agree. When the DLC went on Deal of the Week I bought them all. Underdome is going to be such a grind. I just put it back on my to do list.

If you only get one DLC, get General Knox. It is by far the best of the three that have been released. Its got a ton of missions, it raises the level cap, introduces Pearlescent weapons, has the toughest boss in the game, and is arguably better the the main game (at least by gamespot standards since the DLC got a 9.0 while Borderlands itself got an 8.0)

Zombie island is pretty fun. It can be a bit easy, though it offers a nice change of pace from the rest of the game. It's also pretty funny, but ultimately its just a bunch of missions. You don't get any new guns, no skill points (at least I don't remember any), or anything else that you can use in the rest of the game that is exclusive to the DLC.

The Underdome is only for the diehard Borderlands fans (like me:P). It can be pretty fun at times, but it is a bit of a grind. The entire DLC revolves around fending off waves of enemies. I can see why many people dislike it, but if your like me and you beat everything else and reached lv 61, it can be fun going up against hoards of lv 60 enemies.

Finally you are probably gonna want to get the new DLC because first off, its what everyone else will be playing, but it also raises your level cap even more, and from what I heard its supposed to be the biggest DLC yet.

Heres how I think you should do it, go ahead and get Knox right now. Hopefully that should tide you over until the new DLC comes out, and get that. After you beat both, if you are still craving more Borderlands, get Zombie island and the Underdome. I don't think you should get them all at once because there is a good chance you wont end up playing them all.
