A stupid misunderstanding about xbox 360s that I keep seeing...

It's how people think that Elites have better hardware and are less likely to RRoD. Seriously, that is the stupidest thing ever. Why would Microsoft gimp one SKU and then make the other more reliable? Especially since the Arcade is their best selling SKU? Think people, ffs...

All 360s have had the "Jasper" motherboards since late last year/early this year so all new 360s are going to beexactly as reliable as the next.

There are three differences between the Elite and the Arcade:

1) Color. Elite is black with a chrome disc tray and the Arcade is plain white.

2) Elite comes with a 120gb hdd, Arcade doesn't (has a plastic grate covering hdd port).

3) The Arcades have 512mb of storage on the motherboard (the first Jasper Arcades only had 256mb). This is the ONLY difference internally between the two SKUs. The Arcade originally came with a regular Memory Card but it's cheaper to just stick that straight on the mobo.

I can see how people would make that misconception. They think just becuase it came out later that they fixed the red ring of death for it.

Well. Yup. They have same vulnerability for the RROD.
