A warranty question...

hey all,

So I have had my elite for awhaile now, about 5 months to be exact. However, I have noticed more recently that the Disk drive has been getting louder and louder.

sometimes it grinds, and spins like crazy, i have never had a disc read error, but I am seriously concern my elite is going to explode.

My question is, as of right now, can I call MS about this and have it fixed under warranty, or will they just tell me nothing is wrong???
