You can do both I think, either by connecting your old HDD to your new xbox slim using a transfer cable kit (not sure of this), or move your files from ur old HDD > Usb flash > slim xbox, using a friends xbox or something.

You can do both I think, either by connecting your old HDD to your new xbox slim using a transfer cable kit (not sure of this), or move your files from ur old HDD > Usb flash > slim xbox, using a friends xbox or something.BFKZ
That is correct. He can either purchase a transfer cable or transfer them using a USB. Seeing as how his HDD is only 20GB I'd say it's not worth purchasing a transfer cable he'll only use once.

I just got a new 250 gb system too with transfer cable, it was only 25 bucks. Worth it to me seeing as I got 5 years of gaming on my old hdd that I want.
