u already purchased it then it should be free for you that is part of that policy thing if you paid for something and you deleted it then you can redownload it any time as long as you account is logged into it while playing.ebookerd1

he never said that he bought them. he wanted to know if he should buy them or wait until they're free. And I don't think they'll be free any time soon

they lowered the price to 650, but i think they're not making it free, because they know people like you will just wait till it's free, but they're not, so they can make more money. Just buy it, literally, the 3 maps are prob 3 of the best 6 maps in halo 3, they're amazing.ushotdead

the blackout is aright make me made they call it a remake when u cant junp on stuff get to place then the doors at the bottom is curved so u can even see like lock out ahh

Sorry, but you missed out. About a month ago, the maps were half off for a day. Sorry. Other than that, yeah, Microsoft, their publisher for Halo (obviously) won't let them make it free. M$ has the final say on that stuff, and they recieved word it wasn't going to be made free.

What's worse is that with the new update to Halo 3 coming out early September, you'll need the Legendary maps to play on most of the Ranked Playlists... I got it the day it came out, but some people wanted to wait to see if it would become free.

As of now, there are no plans of making it free, nor are there any indication that they will change their minds over at M$.

If you're lucky, the new map being shown at PAX will be free like Cold Storage is... or it will be part of their new map pack they're releasing later this year, the Mythic Map Pack, to include 3 new maps... meaning most likely the PAX map is part of the 3, as they're showing that, and they've already shown off the VR Room map (Edge Choice Awards), plus they were talking about another map not mentioned lately that would include a vehicle that isn't in any other map... I'm hoping it's either a Spectre or an AA Wraith... or maybe a Scarab... nah, not a Scarab, but a Spectre would be nice.

Also, the Legendary Map Pack give you 6 free months of Bungie Pro Service, which means, if you don't already have it, that' you'll have 6 free months of having 26 slots in your file share, rather than 8. Avalanche is a fun vehicle meyhem map, Blackout is another remake of Lockout (Guardian is still better IMO) and Ghost Town is fun map for Slayer and Team Slayer. Very well built for layered combat.
