I've heard many people saying things like

"It got repetitive and boring fast."

Or something to that effect...

This is because the folks at Mistwalker thought it would be a good idea to give you overleveled characters with every skill. Really all this does is make every class and character seem the same. The game is actually very much like Final Fantasy V, in that you'll only master skills when you play as different classes, then you can keep those mastered skills for any other class. This will make each of the characters in your party unique, and won't seem repetitive at all. Demos are supposed to be a good representation of the final product and make you go.

"Holy **** I need this game!"

The Blue Dragon demo was probably a very poor representation of Blue Dragon even though Mistwalker thought it would be a good idea, so I urge anyone who thought it was repetitive to at least give it a rent when August 24 (EU) or 28 (NA) rolls around.

I think Blue Dragon will be amazing but I still thought the demo was awful. If you actually managed to enjoy the demo... well then... you'll really like the full game.

If you were one of the people that said

"The graphics are sub-par."

Then you're crazy because they're amazing. Maybe not technically the best, but definitely good enough. Besides, that's a stupid reason not to like the game anyway.

If you think the voice acting is bad, well you're entitled to your opinion, but honestly, just tell me: How could they be improved?

Also, to anyone who thinks it's just battle after battle: After you kill a certain enemy once you can just use your field skill (it's automatically set to RB at the beginning of the demo) to kill that enemy every time after the first battle.

TC is right, graphics are amazing, and the voice acting while not the greatest, it's not bad and doesnt hurt the ears. And i enjoyed the demo, so i'm pretty sure i'm gonna love the full game

I shut the game off 30 seconds into it, that could just be because i;m not into JRPG or anime games. IT will probably be a good game for fans of the genre.

Why would you go throught the trouble of downloading it? Don't you read the descriptions of things you download?

I liked the demo because, even though it was advised against, I changed all my characters classes and skills and started to have fun mixing and matching. If it wasn't for corporeal(thats a horrible translation in my opinion) I would have been killed by the first boss I fought. STill, i'm getting Eternal Sonata first.

paul: Why did you even download it then? didn't you see the banner on the marketplace, read the description, or anything really.

Those were all the skills in the game? In that case, there weren't too many... Anyway, I like JRPG's and I would be all over Blue Dragon, but too bad there's so many high calibur games coming out soon after it's release. I will definately check it out along with Eternal Sonata and Lost Odyssey (high priority) in the future though.

It's hard to release a good RPG demo, really. All this really does is show off what the combat will look like, and I'm satisfied enough. Yeah, the characters were ridiculously overpowered, but the idea of the demo is to get a feel for the game, not to represent the actual game.

I like it, I'm buying it. Oh, and lol @ "Poo Snake". Funniest monster name ever

I thought the combat was really slow, it wne t something like this,

1.initiate fight

2.monster hits me

3.choose attack, power up attack

4.monster attacks

5.choose attack for different character, power up attack

6.monster attacks

7.choose attack for third character, power up attack

8.monster attacks

9.You attack

It was just annoying how I chose an attack, but I had to power it up or something, it waited a few additional turns for me to use the attack I chose....It was tedious.

You don't have to charge the attacks, you could just tap the A button and you'd attack immediately.

I quite enjoyed the demo, but then I am a hardcore RPG player. I think the way they did it was stupid though, to make the characters all powerful, it gives a bit to much option. But I am looking forward to it. I especially loved the music and graphical style.

I enjoyed it very much, but after playing it I realised im looking more forward to Lost Odyssey. I mean your shadows are very much like the Aeons from FFX, but the idea you don't use actual weapons and armour kind of bothers me. The visuals are great, but the music was really repetitive and nothing I would expect from this kind of game. I also knowticed that the characters were already high levels therefore they did tons of damge. I plan on picking up Blue Dragon in 2008 when I have more time (to many games this fall, Bioshock and Lair come out around Blue Dragon).

i am a huge fan of new weapons and armer and this demo didn't show any of that nor have i heard anything about it. although i like my rpg's, this gamejust seems like there isn't enough into itfor me to go out and spend the money on it.

I enjoyed the demo. I thought that the characters seemed very developed/leveled. So, I am glad to see slinky's comments. Also, every character had a shadow monster. I thought this was something that had to be gained through experience.

I am looking forward to the release. I have to agree that the demo should have been released with level 0/1 characters. That way, players can see what they will initially play and get a little of the actual story.

Overall, I am glad that the demo was released. We got to see the controller scheme, graphics, and battle play. I am looking forward to the games release.

Hey TC, i am taking your advice from the BD boards and i'm not even going to play the demo at all. It is hard to make a demo of an RPG b/c you aren't atttched to your charector at all b/c you didn't vreate and meld them into your fighting machines.

I will be picking this game up in August.

dude, the only reason people think its repetitive is because they aren't into jrpgs -- no other explanation. What were these people expecting out of the same team who brought us Chrono Trigger? The 360 is in need a good jrpg, thank goodness for Blue Dragon.
