Enjoy, Awesome Game! Save often, easy to die and lots of choices to be made at unexpected times.

Don't forget to save often indeed! It's frustrating if you find out that you haven't saved for an hour or so and you die

Melee is handy early on, and/or small guns. Installation is essential if you can but I see you did, have fun :).

Don't feel down when you leave the Vault, the first time i did i just turned off my xbox after saving because i realised there was so much to do, don't let it get to you. :P, try to avoid doing the mainquest and go explore :D

If you really want to enjoy this game to the fullest. It will behoove you to purchase the official game guide by prima. You can buy it at any game stop. Believe the hype, not the pipe.

it's much funner to explore i think, using a guide makes things too easy and unenjoyable because your just following a set of rules rather than actually doing freeform decisions, if you miss stuff, big deal you can always go back and get it

This game is alot of fun if you explore, and explore alot. There are alot of things to find and do if you explore. Sell things that you do not need to buy things that you won't find just in the wasteland. So from here all I will say is have fun.

Balance out your S.P.E.C.I.A.L skills to match your playing style in the beginning of the game.

What I found the most usefull is gather as many loot as you can so you can sell it. Than you shouldn't have any money problems in the beginning of the game

Save often. Small arms, science, repair and lockpick skills are important.

No doubt! however this is a marathon game of about 100 hrs. or so. Having a map to lead you in the right direction does not kill game play in my opinion. It does help alleviate a lot of the frustration on ?? to do next. A quick reference guide used totally under the players discretion of how he or she uses the play by play tool to complete the game to its entirety. Cha heard!
