Ace Combat 6 your thoughts?

So who else is loving this demo??? I have been craving an airplane game for a while now.Now i finally get a little nibble of whats to come. One thing i hope that in the multiplay portion of the game is a free roam. I kinda wanna just fly around with friends and hand around in the clouds.Maybe do some tricks trough mountains and bridges.I know no other game coming out will probably use that flight stick...but i think im going to get it!! do any of you plan on buying the game with the flight controls?

Yea the game is pretty good I loved AC4, so i'll eventually get it...

I played this last night and thought it was excellent. The graphics are exceptional and the control was right on. I will definitely get this when released.

First 5 minutes or so, I was like, man this is cool. Then after circling and dog fighting for 15 minutes with multiple missles, special weapons, etc... I started to think... Man, this would be way cooler if it was more realistic, as far as missions go.

I don't think it needs to be a 100% sim, asI don't want to have to learnhow to be a pilot in real life just to play a game, but it would be very cool if there was a mission briefing, and then you outfitted your jets with "realistc" payloads and went on a realistic mission.

For example, maybe a mission would be a bombing run. You choose to either fly recon, a bomber, or escort. You then get to pick an appropriate jet to do so, and outfit it with a"realistic" payload forwhat you will need to do. For instance, if you fly escort, you have maybe 2 air to ground missles, and 6-8 air to air missles and 1200 rounds in your cannon. When you are out, you fly home. A realistic escort mission may be that youknock out 1 or 2 radar stations or ground units and then dog fight 1-6 planes at the max. Then you go home,as your mission is done.

Flying around for 25 minutes launching off 20+ missels...is there nothing more to this game???

I've always found games like AC to be boring and repetitive. Demo was fun to start with, but flying around in circles firing missiles can only be fun for so long. arctic_sword

i agree. i felt like the gameplay was fun and its been a while since i have played a flight game, but after a while, flying around just isnt as fun.

Seems to be very simular to Ace combat 4, and a very small part of air combat (thats the first Ace combatfor those who don't know)

Still easy and the ai needs work, a lot of work. Well it was on normal so i hope the hardest setting will be better. I agree that the floor needs a more realitic look but you soon forget about it when your dogfighting. Missiles are still a lot but thats what you get when you have 50 some odd targets to kill. With online play finally in a ace combat game it will be fun to play against real people so that is why i will be getting it. But it better have more than just 2 to 4 or ever 8 players online at one time, more like 16 or 24 on one map would be best, any less is a waste.

dude all you have mentioned about bombers and briefing and stuff is really on the game , you should play one of the previous games , theres a bombers and you can choose your weapons and some missions requires you to land manually , all this is available the demo is nothing compared to the full game, you should try one of the old AC and you will understand what i mean
