I still don't get the point of buying a game for the only purpose of getting achievment points.

Avatar and King Kong from what I hear are really easy. Definitely a rent or a borrow though, not a buy.

apparently numbers are more important than the sole purpose of enjoying a game.

ya exactly. If I look at someone's achievements for a game and it's like 100 for that game, but they've beat it, I'm fine with that.

Avatar, King Kong and TMNT are the easiest. I also found Alone in the Dark to have really easy achievements, I got 890 in one straight play through.

Try any of the WWE SD! vs RAW games if you're into wrestling games, most of their achievements are match related, pretty easy stuff if you know how to play the game. Also I found CoD4's achievements easy. Most of them are either mission related (you run into them just by playing the game) or you do easy stuff like 4 headshots in a row etc.

lol yeah I remember the one you get for riding in that gunship... turns out all you have to do is get to that mission where you get to bomb everyone :P didn't need to do anything special at all.

I haven't played the Avatar game yet... can anyone tell me if it's worth playing? I don't really care about the achievements but I've seen the show so I was curious how the game was.

To be honest, I see no reason for the acheivement points. It's not like we can use them for anything. I've always thought that the best idea would be to make them useable on the marketplace to buy things like updates for games, themes, picture packs, etc. instead of having to use our hard-earned money. But that's just me, for all I know it could be a sh***y idea.

There is no point in buying a game just for achievements.. just buy decent games then play them a lot to try and get 1000 in them.

Perfectly put, achievements add so much replay value to me that I really want a game that I have to master in order to earn everything. Not exactly to the degree that a game like Mass Effect did things but more along the lines of Call of Duty 4, hard but not impossible.

I dont have a 1000 in any game. Yet that is. I usually play the games I enjoy over and over and if I happen to get the achievements then great! It also gives a game some more replay value to see if I did miss something also.

well by lookin at tc gamercard and games he has played...he has plenty of easy games that score high gamerpoints. but doesnt seem to do any of them. I mean come one..most of those games are considered to have easy gamerpoints but u only have about an average of 100 for each..u must not put much effort into your "gamerpoint obsession"

yeah it would make sense to use them.

maybe not for things you would pay for like games, but atleast the themes for the 360...

some games have done this but when u unlock an achievement u get a gamer pic. I always thought that it would be cool to do this..but also unlock themes, extra content, maybe other stuff..but who knows..

buy the games you wanna play, not because u want acheivement points. Once you rent/buy games, only for achievement points, i lose all respect. My friends continue to go back to madden 06 and other games that are easy and its just rediculous. Games are meant to entertain you, stop worrying about gamerpoints

Acheivements are awesome. I've never bought a game just to get them, but I will try to get every one that I can. It adds a great deal of replay value to the game. For example, in order to get all of Mass Effect's achievements, you have to play the game a couple of different ways. Thus, points keep the game fresh. Further, I find myself going back and trying to pick up things that I missed the first time around. As with anything, surely there are people who take them way too seriously, but I love what Microsoft did. Fun stuff.

Dark Sector is a pretty good game and most of the achievements are done in one playthrough.
I didn't do it for the achievements though personally I just loved that games single player.

I kinda like getting 1000/1000 to finish the game completely but I won't bend over backwards for them.

Whats really bad are some people from achieve360points.com or xbox360achievements.org. People with 60,000 to 100,000 + points who play little kids games like Open Season, Cars, or Bee Movie game just for the xbox points. Pathetic. You didn't achieve ANYTHING.

Ive beaten perfect dark zero and i have 20 points for that game and 10 of them are from shooting some bots in a multiplayer match.
