apparently numbers are more important than the sole purpose of enjoying a game.

ya exactly. If I look at someone's achievements for a game and it's like 100 for that game, but they've beat it, I'm fine with that.[QUOTE="summer_star17x"][QUOTE="Optical_Order"]I still don't get the point of buying a game for the only purpose of getting achievment points. zeppelin_64

i agree with wwervin. you get points in COD4 without even expecting/ knowing itRuhdezee
lol yeah I remember the one you get for riding in that gunship... turns out all you have to do is get to that mission where you get to bomb everyone :P didn't need to do anything special at all.
I haven't played the Avatar game yet... can anyone tell me if it's worth playing? I don't really care about the achievements but I've seen the show so I was curious how the game was.
i think if you have like over 10,000 then you just play to much bit thats just me.
p.s. my friend has 54,000
Wow that's a lot. The highest gamerscore any of my friends has is just about 27000.i think if you have like over 10,000 then you just play to much bit thats just me.

I am currently tryin to reach 10 000 gamerscore and am just wondering what are some games that u can get quick easy achievements in?YoungRome32my pooh
To be honest, I see no reason for the acheivement points. It's not like we can use them for anything. I've always thought that the best idea would be to make them useable on the marketplace to buy things like updates for games, themes, picture packs, etc. instead of having to use our hard-earned money. But that's just me, for all I know it could be a sh***y idea.

obiously it makes some ppl feel better for themselves...in my opinion they jus show how much time u waste tryin to get something that has no prize wut so ever lol....nerd points...lol. just enjoy the freakin game dude lol

Perfectly put, achievements add so much replay value to me that I really want a game that I have to master in order to earn everything. Not exactly to the degree that a game like Mass Effect did things but more along the lines of Call of Duty 4, hard but not impossible.
There is no point in buying a game just for achievements.. just buy decent games then play them a lot to try and get 1000 in them.Darkslayer16
This. ^^^
I have 32000+ gamerscore but you wont find a single game that i havent bought or truly played/wanted. That means no Avatar, King Kong or none of that garbage

yeah it would make sense to use them.
maybe not for things you would pay for like games, but atleast the themes for the 360...

some games have done this but when u unlock an achievement u get a gamer pic. I always thought that it would be cool to do this..but also unlock themes, extra content, maybe other stuff..but who knows..
well by lookin at tc gamercard and games he has played...he has plenty of easy games that score high gamerpoints. but doesnt seem to do any of them. I mean come one..most of those games are considered to have easy gamerpoints but u only have about an average of 100 for each..u must not put much effort into your "gamerpoint obsession"ianp_91
Gamerpoint obsession? lol those games that i have played i currently dont have as i have only rented them or borrowed them from a buddy
buy the games you wanna play, not because u want acheivement points. Once you rent/buy games, only for achievement points, i lose all respect. My friends continue to go back to madden 06 and other games that are easy and its just rediculous. Games are meant to entertain you, stop worrying about gamerpoints

lol nerd points..Who says i dont enjoy the games? I am just gettin bored of the ones i have, and tryin to find new ones that have easy achievements along with a good replay value.I rent the games to see if i like them and then i buy them. if i get gamerpoints along the way, its cool wit me. But like i said before i am in a contest wit my friend.buy the games you wanna play, not because u want acheivement points. Once you rent/buy games, only for achievement points, i lose all respect. I kinda like getting 1000/1000 to finish the game completely but I won't bend over backwards for them.
Whats really bad are some people from achieve360points.com or xbox360achievements.org. People with 60,000 to 100,000 + points who play little kids games like Open Season, Cars, or Bee Movie game just for the xbox points. Pathetic. You didn't achieve ANYTHING.
