Achievement notifications while playing a game.

Is there a way to show achievement notifications while playing a game?
I thought that I had seen this in games before when I first got my Xbox360, but for some reason I do not see them anymore. It has been months since the last time that I thought I saw an achievement notification while playing a game, but maybe I did not and I am imagining things.
So if there is a such thing as achievement notifications while playing a game please tell me where in my dashboard I need to go to turn it on.

Uh...yeah in-game achievement notifications are standard. I wasn't aware that you could turn them off. Are you sure you're actually unlocking any achievements haha? :P

Yep, that's it.
I turned that off many months ago because everytime one of my friends come online a pop-up would appear every single time and that had bothered me, but I did/do like the in-game achievement notifications pop-ups.
Too bad that there is not a way to only allow in-game achievement notifications pop-ups and no other pop-ups.
So I guess that I will have to deal with all types of pop-ups then, since I do want the achievement notifications pop-ups.

If you get annoyed with the pop-ups, just set your online status to "busy" that way, when you turn your xbox off and on(which im sure you will) you will be set to online again.III-Rob-III

If I set it to "Appear Offline" will that still show the friend online pop-ups?

I think Away, busy, and Appear offline disable all pop-ups.

Im not 100% with the friends pop-up though, but im pretty sure they disable all pop-ups.

Is that all pop-ups except for the in-game achievement notifications pop-ups?

I'm pretty sure that's all notifications with friends. Now you'll probably have to experiment with the Achievements to really find out.3eyedrazorback
