lol anyone else having this same type of problem, i would see a game for the wii or something like metroid and think meh, it looks awesome but it doesnt have any acheivements so instead ill continue playing 360, which i ilke better anyways ;) shotgun247
I'm the opposite, I now want to get the PS3 because it doesn't have achivements, and because in a year or so it will be on top.

I have the same problem I try to play my ps2 and I'm like I cant believe I don't get an achievement for that hes the hardest boss.
I like the achievement system a lot. It shows how tough are you (or it shows that you are a loser) when I get an achievement I get excited a lot!
Microsoft did an awesome thing by creating the 360 an add the achievement system it compares you to other players around the world :D
i used to be like that. not so much anymore, in that achievements don't stop me from playing games on other systems. I still think they adda lot
I wonder what would happen if a game were released without achievements on the 360...GuitarsOfWarr
That is illegal. They have to put them on.

I don't care about achievments that much. If I get one cool, but I'm not going to activly try to get them. I'd rather play/beat more games then focus on one games' achievments. I just checked the other day and my Gamerscore is a little over 3000 out of a possible 15000 or something.

Play a game because you enjoy it, or because it looks like it has a good story line, achievement points are the least of what make a good game good...it's just bonus to show for all your effort... but still, take that away and you got the memory of the story line and events that happened while you played, so what if you don't got something to show, you can still talk about it with someone else who beat it, i mean does anyone really check someone's achievements before they discuss a game, no, you just talk about it, so don't worry... if you wanna play metroid, blast the hell outta the bad guys, then come back and have fun on 360...i figure, switching between consoles playing shooters and whatever else makes you that much better at playing shooters, sides, one day you might have to put your skills to the test, who knows... maybe you'll end up on a gameshow and have to play a brand new shooter, all that experience accounts for success, i rather trust that than blind luck...
LOL!
yeah, I was gonna get a Wii, but then I thought, "But it doesn't have achievements..." How will mofo's know I beat Bowser if they can't check my profile and see that 100 points I got for beating him on Hardcore?
