Lol, no. I do like achivement points, it adds replay value but it does not determine a game buy for me.

yes, I own a PS3 as well... I still have not played rsistance... to many achievments available elsewhere! Also, my Xbox just feels like the tightest gaming.

I'm sorta like that, if there is a game available on two systems I have, I'll get it on my 360 for achievements, but I'm not going to give up on MP3 just because it doesn't have achievements.

Another example of the greatness of microsoft. They created almost like a competition a high gamerscore is a symbol of respect. It's like "wow that guy did that in that game".

I wont say Achievements doesn't have me playing other games, but it dose have me playing games much longer that I usually would. I hated Dead Rising I mean I really really hated playing that game. But I actually played that game three times in a row so I could get mostly all of the achievements.

I think of them as another aspect of the game you purchased. Once you've finished with the game, you can go for achievements next which is great because most games these days are so friggin short.

They haven't got me to not play other console games, but when it comes down to PC vs 360 I will choose the 360 because I am an achievement junkie. I think PC people would get a better crowd if they started to introduce achievement points on their side, even if they are the exact same.

I like the achievement system a lot. It shows how tough are you (or it shows that you are a loser) when I get an achievement I get excited a lot!

Microsoft did an awesome thing by creating the 360 an add the achievement system it compares you to other players around the world :D

I do not care much for acheivements but I am trying to get my first 1000/1000 G score for a game with Bioshock...i don't think its gonna happen. I'd rather buy a game i like and play it like Metroid for instance, than buy something like Kameo just for achievement points.

At first, achievements took away a lot of playing time I could have done with other consoles. Now, I have grown out and tired of achievements, so I just play games for fun now instead of having to torture myself for 1 achievement.

the achievements are a good idea because they give replay value and added incentive to do things differently.

I don't care about achievments that much. If I get one cool, but I'm not going to activly try to get them. I'd rather play/beat more games then focus on one games' achievments. I just checked the other day and my Gamerscore is a little over 3000 out of a possible 15000 or something.

Yeah, I'm getting a PS3 next month and thats all I think about. If a game I want comes out on both systems, I'll get the 360 version just for the achievements. I guess I'm still the whore I thought I wasn't.

Play a game because you enjoy it, or because it looks like it has a good story line, achievement points are the least of what make a good game good...it's just bonus to show for all your effort... but still, take that away and you got the memory of the story line and events that happened while you played, so what if you don't got something to show, you can still talk about it with someone else who beat it, i mean does anyone really check someone's achievements before they discuss a game, no, you just talk about it, so don't worry... if you wanna play metroid, blast the hell outta the bad guys, then come back and have fun on 360...i figure, switching between consoles playing shooters and whatever else makes you that much better at playing shooters, sides, one day you might have to put your skills to the test, who knows... maybe you'll end up on a gameshow and have to play a brand new shooter, all that experience accounts for success, i rather trust that than blind luck...

I don't think I'm going to be playing any other console then the 360 just because of the Achievements. If other console's come up with a way to reward gamers for beating a level then i might consider but until then I'm sticking with the 360.
