Remove the ads? I really doubt that. The whole reason ads are there is to try and promote a product, therefore making Microsoft more money. If everyone could just get rid of them, they wouldnt serve a purpose. Regardless, are they that big of a deal to you? As another poster said, how much time do you spend in the dashboard for the ads to annoy you that much?
I never really 'noticed' the ads sort of speak. I even remember there was a ad a long time ago with big news and I didn't even notice it and read up on it on forums later.
They really do not bother me. I you asked me two name three different ads I've seen, I couldn't asnwer correctly.
I finally updated my Xbox last night and I wasn't expecting to see ads for McDonald's on my Dashboard. Part of playing games/watching movies is to escape from the everyday world, so it does suck to see this stuff on a piece of hardware. First ads in games, now on the Xbox itself? What's next? :-p
