Halo 3 comes out in about 3 weeks and I want a TV that is atleast 26' and that is about 500-600$ give or take... that will be good for playing splitscreen and has good picture. Any suggestions?

i recommend going with an 720p LCD tv. westinghouse has very good lcd tv's for pretty cheap. mine is a 32 inch lcd hd tv and it can be picked up for around 699 now... so i'd imagine that there smaller lcd tv's are in your price range.

Get a Sony Rear Projection 3LCD tv (42"). It is 720p but runs around 600-700USD. A little more but worth it and will last longer...not to mention, it can be fixed for cheap without having to replace it.

I researched dozens of TVs for about a month or so and decided on a Vizio 26". I was using a crappy 10 year old CRT and needed an upgrade badly. I went to pick one up from Walmart two days ago and they were out. I talked to a rep there and he said 2 of the 3 TVs returned daily were Vizios...so I went for a similar-specc'd Sanyo 26". My games look awesome. It handles black levels very well, there's no lag, I can actually read what's on screen now, and it was about $550 after tax.

I wuld recomend the samsung range of LCD t.vs :D I hav 1 in teh in game picture is v. gd.

get the olevia 32 inch lcd hdtv from circuit city for 500 ollars its on sale right now 480p.720p.1080i the picture quality its very good and its 1600 contrast ratio and the tv got over 1000 reviews from, buyers and like 85% of the reviews are good
