After 7 months owning here 360 this my honest opinion

This blog will seem like me bashing on the 360, but make nomistake I enjoy playing with my 360 I just cannot bring myself to love it like the way I do with my ps2, than again I find that impossible because I always go back to my ps2.

Okay my first and ONLY 360 game is Halo 3. I made a good choice, although I admit it is nothing special the moment my xbox live free trial is over. But it was fun while it lasted, although after playing Call of Duty 4 at my friends I actually wish COD 4 would have been my first experience in xbox live because I believe that game is that good. Anyways I am not here to talk about a game I don't own and cannot even afford. I am here to talk about the 360 as a system.

I will be honest with you I like every darn feature it has, from ripping cds to the harddrive all the way to backwards compatibility with original xbox games. It thanks to my 360 in which I learned to fall in love Star Wars all over again, it even introduce me to new favorite Star Wars character Darth Revan. I so hate the game developers of those 2 amazing games for not making a KOTOR III.

To be honest the only thing I hate about the 360 is a certain feature that is lacking in the hardware, which kills my entire enjoyment and is the sole reason why I cannot bring myself to enjoy Halo 3 againor stop me from now seeing it as a prettier version of Halo 1 and 2. The feature that is missing is a built in wireless internet connection something in that the Nintendo DS, Wii, PSP, and PS3 has, and a feature that is must in my house.

I know many of will you say just buy the wireless adapter. But have you seen the going price for that thing it is a $100. You can say ebay, but lets put it this way I am the same person who refuses to buy equipment for my work at the same site that everyone in my field keeps recommending. My distrust for internet shopping is that big.

I use to be able too play live in my 360 when I had the subscription was because during that time no one was home durring the weekdays to use my 48 inch tv during the morning and night for that matter so it was not really a problem. But the only reason that happened was because my dad was away at the Philipines to tend for my sick grandma at the time, and my mom works at the days, and it was to bribe my sisters from letting me use the tv.

But really after a while it got stupid. It was too stupid and for me to tranfer my 360 between rooms over and over again especially since my parents don't want the 360 anywhere the living room.

Seriously I find it very stupid that Microsoft did not include wireless connection out of the box, because it is the one thing keeping me from enjoying the 360. If I cannot play Halo 3 without live what makes a person think I will play COD 4 without access to Live? Oh well now that DMC 4 is out I can safely say that I will forget all about Xbox live for a long time when I turn on my 360.

I did not have to read much of your post, your MAIN problem is that you only have Halo 3 for your 360

I think you AND the TC need to grow up

It's common knowledge the 360 isn't wireless out of the box. If you wanted a console with built in wi-fi you should've bought a Wii or PS3.

It's very stupid of you to buy a console without wi-fi if wi-fi is that important to you. Either buy the adaptor or sell the 360. Problem solved.

PS Just so you know, the HD-DVD add-on doesn't play Blu-ray movies, the Wii doesn't play DVD's and the PS3 doesn't play Ninja Gaiden 2.

As someone stated this is not for the forums, it is a good thing to write in a blog. Personally I think you have a limited experience with the system, and really don't even know what it can do, or how well the games are overall for the system, I have (at the time of this posting) 11 games, and I go back and play all of them. I still enjoy playing CoD2, and even Deadrising. To formulate an overall opinion on a game system without really even playing the system, is extremely unjust.

Also, I have to ask how you have had the system for 7 months, and only played (or own) Halo 3, the game came out just over four months ago, so what you just had a system for three months?

bottom line, this is not a good thread, should be closed, and I think you should just sell the system and play your PS2.

There is a simple solution to save yourself some money. Sure, it doesn't come wireless out of the box. But with a simple crossover cable, you can attach your Xbox to a wireless PC and share the internet connection. Google it to find out exactly how.

but yea TC i agree with u KIND OF, its kinda bogus that you havta pay 100$ for a wireless adapter when other systems have built in wifi. to me its just M$ tryin to scam more money out of us but w/e

Way to not read the post at all. Anyways, I actually agree with you. I like the 360 but wireless capability out of the box seems like something that should be included nowadays, and $100 is a hell of a lot compared to how much you spend on the console, especially for something that is implemented in other systems. Are they saying that almost half of the cost of a Wii is from it's wireless capability? In my opinion, they definately need to lower the price of the adapter.

isn't the online service on the ps2 s***?? so how can you take that as the big issue for you go back to your ps2, the difficulties using online on the 360. you haven't been using it ...you only have one game to use it on on the 360...then u decide to go back to the ps2's crappy online service. you must like the ps2 for the games, so i don't see why u wouldn't even try any other games besides Halo on the 360. the 360 has complete games, games with good online service AND single player...if this isn't a fake thread you should pull ur 360 back out.

Wireless is a poor substitute for a CAT 5 cable that you probably have laying around the house. After seeing my friends setups I knew I could never pay extra money for a slower connection speed.Riverwolf007
