well, if you feel that way thats all on you. but i personally have been enjoying the game and i understand what your saying but you have to take into consideration the time period and lands skape of the game. your goin to see ah bit of repetition in the missions, but what i love about the game is that it all just feels really natural. and you cant beat those day/night transitions, its the best i've seen in anygame so far. All in all i totally would rate this higher that gta 4 by far. because it took me over a year to beat gta 4 because i just couldnt get into it. but this game is hard to put down. Most of the missions are the same, hide behind a rock and shoot, a bunch of boring fetch missions with nothing rewarding about them, the same old dumb music, annoying that i have to keep tapping A to run with the horse. its getting really really boring and i have like no interest at all in finishing it. anyone else feels the same way?

And why is people complaining about the tapping the button to to make the horse run? Jeez, you guys complain about the simplest of things. I would think that you would be able to see the logic behind y they have you tapping the button to make the horse go faster along with the horses stamina guage...Jeez come on people.
I never siad I wasn't going to buy this game because of his opinion. Don't quote me and assume that ever again over that. What's the point of even posting if people can't keep their mouth shut about what you say when it's not even directed towards them?
your posting on an open forum, you want to directly talk to someone specific, PM them "That's disapointing to hear, especially since I was thinking about buying this game after all the praise it has got." that is what you said. now dont you think it is reasonable to assume that you were having second thoughts about the game and maybe even not going to purchase it? You know what, you did not specify who that was to, your comment was open to interpretation and anyone on this website has every right to quote you in order to clarify and give their opinion on what you said, dont assume that you can make the rulesI never siad I wasn't going to buy this game because of his opinion. Yes, i second that. Please explain.....Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I have to admit RDR might not be for everyone, but as a few of you stated, I am sure his opinion is in the small majority. I love the game and can barely put it down. Its the immersion of this game that is so much better than any other sandbox game I have ever played. Rockstar has payed so much attention to detail and did a wonderful job with story and character development. Great game!

All Just Cause 2 has going for it is explosions, RDR has great voice acting unlike Just Cause 2. What, do you expect to be able to blow up a saloon albiet I wish I could burn buildings with fire bottles but RDR is in no way Rockstar's way of fooling the blind.
if you dont want it, give it to meMost of the missions are the same, hide behind a rock and shoot, a bunch of boring fetch missions with nothing rewarding about them, the same old dumb music, annoying that i have to keep tapping A to run with the horse. its getting really really boring and i have like no interest at all in finishing it. anyone else feels the same way?

Everyone has their opinion, it was far from perfect but 3PS Wise it was great.Sure some single player missions felt repetitive, but multiplayer is always an option if single player is not fast paced enough. Rent it if anything. i think a 9.5/10 Should be try'ed by anyone who likes shooters. But like i said before everyone has their opinion.Just don't cancel it out because of someone eles's.That's disapointing to hear, especially since I was thinking about buying this game after all the praise it has got.

While some of the missions are "been there, done that", others are not, or at least "been there, but not ever done as good as this." I don't recall any game where I get to gunfight while horseback riding that is as polished as this. Or gunfight while riding horseback beside a moving train, or being on a moving train gunfighting bad guys on horses. Or gunfighting while on a raft that is floating down river. Or from a moving stagecoach. And so on. All of this was done so well and has never been done better. In short, an old west game really has never been done better. This game puts all past western games to shame. And the story really is great. When I look forward to every next cutscene, that says something for the story; the well-written & acted dialogue is part of the story.
The truth is, these mega-hit games are prone to be overcriticized by those who are blind of the fact that a game like this, despite a few nitpicks, is one of the best memorable gaming experiences in a very long time.
Red Dead Redemption is awesome if you are ready to be engaged in a western atmosphere. If you're looking for some Boondocks Saints random retard action, then this game will come off as boring. It's way better than GTAIV. Come on, what other game allows you to break horses, hunt bears and skin them, and gives you an achievement for killing off the buffalo?
Just wondering, but did the people who enjoy RDR also enjoy GTA4? And did the people who did not like RDR, also not like GTA4?
Funny you should ask. The only thing I ever liked about GTA was free roam, so I only everplayed them with cheats on and completely ignoring the story missions. When GTA4 came out, I only completed the first mission so that I didn't have to sit through the opening cutscene to get to multiplayer mode. RDR, however has been totally engaging from the first minute. I officially love this game.Just wondering, but did the people who enjoy RDR also enjoy GTA4? And did the people who did not like RDR, also not like GTA4?
